Personals Mrs. A. T. Outlaw and Miss Sallle Outlaw made a business trip to Kins ton on S*urday. Miss Judy Reynolds spent Friday night in Greenville with her sister, Ruthie and attended the Johnny Rivers Concert on Saturday. She returned home on Saturday even Ira and Rut hie came with her in order to attend the Bur ley-Williams wedding on Sunday afternoon. Among cither out-of-town guests here on Sunday for the wedding of Miss Judy Williams to Robert M. Bur ley were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Burgess and children of Wilmington, and Mrs. Lei and Teachey of Rose Hill. Mrs. N. B. Boney (pent several days last week with her son's family In Charlotte. Miss Mary Lee Sykes ac companied Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sykes and youngest daughter, Catherine, to Charlotte for the weekend to visit relatives. Warrant Officer Lawrence Ryder and family enroute from Ozark. Alabama to Ft. Eustls, Va. have been visiting his mo ther. Mrs. Elofse K. Ryder. Mrs. Lawrence Souther land has returned to her home after a visit with the W. E. Willis family In Raeford and the Jim Bowlfn family In Guilford Col lege, following a visit to her other children In Georgia. Mrs. Carl Powell has re turned home rfter more dim a week's hospitalization in the Duplin General Hospital. The BUI Spleers spent last weekend visiting her mother, Mrs. Hager In Forsyth County. Mrs. Ruth P. Grady attend ed a press conference in Mur freesboro during the weekend. Thomas H. Brlnson of Ft. Eustls, Va. spent the weekend with his parents md his wife. Christopher Lea Bcney of Charlotte spent Saturday night here with his grandmother, Mrs. N, B. Boney. Mrs. Scott Hostess to Liberty Hell Bridge Club Mrs. A. T. Clarke md Mrs. Robert Franklin WUllamson were substitute players on last Wednesday night when Mrs. Ha zel W. Scott entertained the Li berty Hall Bridge Club. S. Williamson en tertained at a floating tea on Saturday afternoon, April 37, 1968 from 3 until,6 o'clock honoring her daughter-in-law. Mrs. Robert Franklin William son, the former Kay Sanderson of Chinquapin. As the guests arrived they were met at the front door by Mrs. O. P. John son. and Introduced to the re ceiving line by Mrs. Wlllard Br Ins on. Receiving with the hostess and her special guest was the honoree's mother, Mrs. T. F. Sanderson. The guests were Invited into the dining room by Miss Thornaslne Sanderson, sister of the honoree. Mrs. Hazel W. Scott served bridal cakes from one end of the prettily decorated refreshment table while Mrs. Lois W. Pre cythe served lime punch at the other end. Salted nuts and mints were also served. A color note of green and white was emphasized In the refreshments as well as In the floral deco- ? rations. Others assisting In the ser- : Ing were; Mrs. Ima Williamson 'i and Mrs. Elolse K. Worthingtons Returns from Florida 1 Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wor thlngton have returned from Florida where they spent last week In St. Petersburg attend ing the Southern Farm Bureau Kings & Knights of the Round T able Celebration. They made 2 headquarters at the sheraton 1 Inn. Mr. Worthington won this ' expense paid trip along with ten other Agents in N. C. who I qualified for the trip by sell- ' ing in access of 1/2 million ' dollars of Life Insurance for the year 1967. They visited the Cypress Gardens, the Sunken 1 Gardens. Silver Springs, Bok Towers and other places of J interest in Florida. Open House The friends of Carol Brown are cordially invited to Open House held May 5, 1968 from 2:00 o'clock to 5:00 o'clock P.M. at her home. Mrs. William Nelson Outlaw their treasurer gave her re port, then Mrs. Oscar Lang ston gave a Bible Study. Mrs. Outlaw served pie, whipped cr eam, potato chips, and coffee to the 12 ladies present. Officiating at the double ring ceremony was the Rev. W. T. Clarke, pastor of the bride. The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wil liams of Kenansvllle. The groom's parents are Mr. aid Mrs. Franklin T. Falrcloth of Harrell's. N. C. Two tall brass candelabras, palms and a lovely arrangement of white gladlou, mums and fern formed the setting for the ceremony. Bows of satin rib bon marked the reserved pews. Joseph Edward Qulnn church organist presented aprogr am of wedding music prior to the ceremony. Conrad Jenkins, brother-in-law of the bride sang "O Promise Me." Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a semi fitted A-llne peau de sole with ? shaped back hem line, a lace I Scouts Hiked to Cliffs Johnnie Lee Brock, George Mack Pridgen, and Charles La ngston along with Troop 44 and Troop 20 of Warsaw left War saw on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and walked to Mrs. Dora Westbrook's home 10 mi les east of Warsaw and camped Friday night. Early Saturday morning tney left and walked to Mr. Granger Williams ponds where the boys camped over night. They left there on Sun day and walked on to the Cliff's where they were meet by their parents at 1 o'clock with a picnic lunch. This 30 miles walk was to get the boys ready for their walk to Bain this summer. The Scoutsmasters were Troop 20 Bill Faust, and his assistant Gregg Ebert and Nathan Cos tin and Troop 44. Wayland Davis and his assistant Joe Lanier. There were 14 from Troop 44 and 39 from Troop 20. These boys had their Sun day School out under the trees, Mr. F aust, Mr. Ebert and Mr. Davis walked all the way with the boys. Yoke aid three quarter length bell shaped sleeves that she made herself. Her laoe train was fitted onto the back yoke. She carried a cascade snqwd bridal bouquet of white roses, carnations, mums ml fern. Mrs. Conrad Jenkins, sis ter of the bride, was Matron of Honor and Miss Prlscllla Williams, also sister of the bride, was Maid of Honor. They wore self made empire style gowns of pink peau de sole with matching pink lace trains and matching head pieces. Their fowers were Identical pink nose gays. George D. McGlll, Jr. of Harrells was the groom's best man. Ushers were; Sonny Coombs of Clinton, N. C. and Allen Maynard of Harrells. Mrs. Williams, mother of the bride, wore a pink-A-llne dress with a pink cymMdlm corsage and Mrs. Falrcloth, mother of the groom, wore an E cru dress with orchid cors age. Wallace, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sitters on, and Miss Margaret Williams entertained the bridal couple after the Rehearsal on Saturday night.
