Mrs. Mitchell Bridge Hostess Mrs. Louise W.Mitchell en tertained her Bridge Club on last Monday night with Mrs. L C. Burch substituting for the only absent member. When score were compiled it was found that Mrs. J. R. Grady was the champion. She was presented a gift as was Mrs. Burch. For refreshments, Mrs. Mitchell assisted by Mrs. Mattle W. Sadler served lemon pie and salted nuts with coffee. Liberty Hell Club The members of the Liberty Hall Bridge Club met with Mrs. N. B.Boney on Wednesday night, Mrs. W.'T. Clarke and Miss Mary Lee Sykes substituted for two of the absent members. Mrs. Stephen M. Williamson was high scorer for the club members playing and Miss Sykes for the visitors. Nurses Convention In De/les District #27 of the North Carolina State Nurses' Assoc iation will meet Tuesday, June 4. 1968. at 8:00 P.M. at James Sprunt Institute, Kenansvllle. The program will be presented by two w the local nurses who attended the American Nurses' Association 46th Convention ? Dallas, Texas, where over 10,000 nurses from the fifty states met May 13-17. Mrs. Mary Bowden, of Wal lace, was one of the 21 official delegates from North Caro lina. Attending with her was Mrs. Wllma Pate, of Warsaw, Director of Nurses at Duplin General Hospital. They will share some of their exciting experiences of the convention. There will also be a tour of James Sprunt Institute. Those of the Program Com mittee are Mrs. Marcla Scott Powell, Mrs. Sue Saunders, and Miss Mary Nester Powell. 4 - H Club News The Mooretown 4-H Club held its regular meeting Sat urday, May 18, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Euray Moore. Present at the meeting were nine boys, ten girls and tlve parents, also Invited guest. After the meeting had ad journed the club had its first cookout of the summer. Fulford, Sr., was best man for his son and Ushers were: Kenneth Mlnton at Ral eigh, J. D. Chambers. Jr. and Frank Chambers, both brothers of the bride and Roger Teachey cousin of the groom. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Chambers chose a mint 6Teen street length dress of Hay on and Nylon knit with mate high accessories and wore a purple orchid corsage. The bridegrooms mother, wore a pink areas of rayon and nylon knit and matching accessories. She also wore an orchid cor sage. Mrs. Melvln Bostlc directed the wedding. The bride 1s the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Chambers, Sr., of Kenansville, N. C. After graduating from James Kenan High School she attended Miller Motte Business College and Is now employed at the Duplin Gen eral Hospital. The groom Is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Fulford, Sr., of Rt. 2, Warsaw. After graduating from James Kenan * Warsaw and when not an duty he works with hie father at their garage near Warsaw. They plan to lire near Us parens on Warsaw, N. C? Rt. 2, in their new Mobile Home. For travel on their wedding trip the new Mrs. Fulford,chan ged to a pink ensemble and wore the white orchid lifted from her bridal bouquet. Mrs. Wilbur Brock Intro duced the guests to the receiv ing line composed of the wed ding party and the parens of the Dridal couple. Mrs. Willis Beach, aura of the groom, served cake and Mrs. Jerry Jenkins served the punch. Nuts and mitts were served buffet. Others assist ing were Misses Judy Brock, Anne Brock and Sophie Blind. Goodbyes were said to Mrs. Wlllard Johnson. An after rehears all party was given by Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Fulford, parents of the brlde froom on Friday night, in the ellowshlp Hall of tne Church. On this occasion, the bride's mother, Mrs. J. D. Chambers, sr., served punch. Cake squa res, cheese biscuit, nuts and mints were served also. Those assisting were Mrs. Walker McNeill, Jr., Mrs. Elmo Spell, and Mrs. Gordon Komegay. A color note of green and white was effectively used.
