He adquarters were the Sir Walter Hotel, and roost of the meetings were held at Memorial Audit orium. With 1900 attending this was the largest state convention the Jaycees have ever had. Jim Church was elected State President, and George West of Warsaw was installed as state Vice President at the banquet held on Saturday night. The Jaycees attended meet ings Saturday, while their wives attended fashion shows and a luncheon. During the eleven o'clock wor ship service on Sunday, May 26 at the Warsaw Methodist Church, Bill Costln, Jr. pre sided, and Leslie Hall was aco lyte'. Ushers were Raphael Denning, Lynn Hall, Ricky Sloan, and Etennls Graham. La ter in the service, Thomas Hall who is a leader in the Sham rock Club and-a lay speaker in the Warsaw Methodist Church, brought the morning message, "The Responsibilities of Adults to Youth". Many Boy Scouts were pre sent for the morning service along with several troop lead ers. The Boy Scouts and their leaders marched in during the Drocessi'onal hymn, "Onward, Christian Soldiers". The Scot}- j 'ts pledged allegiance to the ? Flag of the Christian Church and to the Flag of the United States. The colors were post ed, and then the Rev. W. R. Crowder summarized the re quirements for the boys who receive God and Country A? wards In Scouting. The requirements are di vided Into three stages of four months each.
