In the Warsaw Presbyterian Church, Miss Harriet EuzabethO'Leary and Billy Junlous Byrd were united in marriage. Officiating at the double-ring ceremony was the Rev. J. Don Skinner, pastor of the bride. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Russell O'Leary of War saw and the late Mr. O'Leary. The groom's parents are Mr. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bar wick returned home Friday night after attending the United Family Insurance convention held in Gulfport, Mississippi last week. Last weekend they visited Mrs. Berwick's brother, M/Sgt. and Mrs. Samuel Lam bert and family in Prattsville, Alabama. Mrs. GeraldQulnn and Car la and Frankie Steed wefat to Kin ston Friday morning. / Rev. and Charles Hinson left Sunday for Houston, Texas where he will be attending the Southern Baptist Convention. Mrs. Hinson and the children are spending this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hay wood in Rockingham. They plan to return to Warsaw Friday. Mr. and Mrs. John B. Vows were exchanged before an altar of palm leaves, tall, seven-branch candleabra with white burning tapers, and ar rangements of white gladiolas, white chrysanthemums, baby's breath, and palm leaves. Mrs. Ben Bowden of War saw, organist, presented a pro gram of wedding music prior to the ceremony. Miss Karen De luca of Wars aw sang' 'Because'' and "the Wedding Prayer" as the benediction. The bride was escorted to the altar by Albert Q. Smith, Sr. of Magnolia, and was given in marriage by her mother. She wore a gown of white kit ten satin which was fashioned with an empire waist line, rou nded neckline, and long sleeves which ended with lace in a slight flare at the wrists. The lace matched that at the bottom of her gown. The matching de tachable chapel train was trim med in the same lace as the gown. She wore a mantilla which she designed and she and Lake Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Ray Murrte came home Saturday after being a patient at Duplin General Hospital for several days. On Tuesday Rev. W.R.Cro wder, Mrs. D. J. Mlddleton, and Ross Wadldns attended the North Carolina Annual Con ference of the United Methodist Church which Is beins held at Methodist College In F ayette ville with Hay Street Metnodlst Church as co-host. Mrs. Mld dleton Is the delegate from the Warsaw Methodist Church. She and Rev. Crowder will also at tend on Wednesday and Thursday. Mrs. H. P. Smith of Wil mington and Norwood G. AFTER REHEARSAL PARTY Following the rehearsal on Tuesday evening, Mrs. A. Q. Smith, Sr.. Mrs. J. A. Powell, and Mrs. N. T. Pickett en tertained the members of the wedding party at the home of Mrs. Pickett in Magnolia. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert L. West of O? Warsaw Invited guests to the dining room. The alnlng table was cov ered by a white satin cloth with an Imported white cro cheted cloth over it. The cen terpiece was white larkspur, daisies, baby mums, andfever few with white burning tapers. The three-tiered wedding cake which was decorated in white and green was adorned by a miniature bride and groom. Mrs. Russell CLeary served the cake after the bridal cou ple cut the first slice. Mrs. W. H. Byrd served punch from an antique cut glass punch bowl. Toasted pecans and green and white mints were also served. The buffet and serving table were decorated with magnolia leaves and blossoms and white burning tapers in hurricane la mps. Arrangements of summer flowers were used throughout the house. The hostesses were assisted by Mrs. Bobby Smith, Miss Sharon Rouse, and Miss Sherry Powell. Goodbyes were said to Mr. and Mrs. Ray West of Warsaw. A M <#% ? ?
