ONE AL CHAMBERS Mrs. Chambers, who has been employed by Waccamaw Bank and Trust Company for several Years, has recently been promoted to assistant cashier of the Rose Hill office. Oneal is a native of Magnolia, and is married to Ralph Chambers, formerly of Rt. 1 Kenansville. They, with their two sons, Micahel-age 10 and Dennis-age 6, reside in Rose Hill. Mrs. Chambers is a graduate of Magnolia High School and began working in the Rose Hill bank m 1955, where she remained until 1960. She did part time work relieving for vacations, etc, until she returned for full time employment in 1966. She finds little time for hobbies after filling the role of housewife,) mother, and career woman, preferring to spend every possible minute with her family. Senior J MRS. W. VAN BROWN Affectionately known as "Miss Ann Is," Mrs. Brown makes her home with her son Stedman Brown, Rt. 1, Chinquapin. She is a member of the Muddy Creek Primitive Baptist Church and attends regularly. She has eight children: Stedman, Woodrow, and Hassell, all of Chinquapin; Mrs. Ralph Strothers,, Jacksonville; Miss Ruth Brown, Kinston; Mrs. Charles Grady, Sr.,.*., Kenansville; Mrs. Madolyn Br own, Jacksonville; "and Mrs. Luvene Hart of Jacksonville. She also has 23 grand children and 19 great grandchildren. Mrs. Brown spent four years confined to a wheel chair following a stroke of paralysis, but due to determination and excellent care she now walks with the aid of a cane. She enjoys helping others as much as possible, though she has to oo mostly "sitting down jobs." She likes TV which helps her pass many hours, but prefers people.
