Bourgeois, England Air Force Base, announce the engagement of their daughter. Miss Yvonne Deane Bourgeois, to Lt. Robert Whitby McGowan, son of Col. and Mrs. Samuel B. McGowan of Columbia, S.C. The wedding is planned August 31, at the Base Chapel, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. Miss Bourgeois is a graduate of Our Lady of the Lake School of Nursing, Baton Rouge, and is presently stationed with the United States Air Force Nurse Corps at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. She holds the rank of lieutenant. Lt. McGowan is a graduate of the University of Missouri where he received a degree in mechanical engineering. He is presently undergoing pilot training at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. Lt. McGowan is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. McGowan of Kenansville.
