JONES WAS Mrs. Josh Jones, Jr. was hostess to the members of her bridge club and additional gu ests at eight o'clock on Thu rsday evening at her home on Walnut Street. Upon arrival Mrs. Jones served a frozen fruit sal ad topped with whipped crelm onTettuce, rltzcrackers, toasted pecans, and iced water. During play she-served cheese and crescent roll appeteasers, and soft drings. When scores were tallied, Mrs. Horace T. Ray, Jr. was club high for which she was awarded a hair spray cover, and Mrs. Irene B. Strickland was visitor's high for which she was awarded a scarf. The Rev. Joseph Mc Laughlin officiated. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length, empire gown of white crepe with side panels of lace, a scooped neckline, and long lace sleeves pointed at the wr ist. Her chapel train of in I terllned lace fell from her shoulders. Her elbow length veil of illusion was attached to a lace-covered crown. She carried a bouquet of roses, stephonotis, and ivy. Miss Joanne Brown of Hope well, NJ. was maid of honor. She wore a Carolina blue floor length, empire gown with mat ching headpiece and veil. She carried a nosegay of shastada isies and ivy. Miss Joyce Brown o f West Trenton and Miss Diane Sher man of Belle Mead, N.J. were bridesmaids. Their gowns and flowers were identical to those of the honor attendant. Glenn W. Rollins, Sr. ser ved as his son's best msn. Ushers were Jeffery Moss of Chipel Hill and Rev. L. Mack Thompson of Wake Forest. The bride's mother chose a blue lace ensemble with mar tching accessories, and she wo re a corsage of white rose buds and carnations. The groom's mother wore a pink dress of pure silk with ma tching accessories and a cor sage of white rosebuds and carnations. Mrs. Rollins is an alumna of the Saint Frances Hospital Sc hool of Nursing in Trenton, Airman Rollins was gradua ted from Chowan Junior Col lege in Murfreesboro, and he attended the University of No rth Carolina at Chapel Hill. He Is presently serving in the United States Air Force in Dover, Del. For traveling Mrs. Rollins wore a green ensemble with matching accessories and a co rsage of yellow rosebuds. Alter August 26, the couple will make their home at 300 North Satae Street in Dover, Delaware. REHEARSAL DINNER PARTY Following the rehearsal on Friday evening, the Rollins Borwn wedding party and gu ests were entertained at tne Stage Depot by the parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Gl enn W. Rollins, Sr. The ta bles were decorated In the Ea rly American decor, carrying out the decor of the banquet hall. The centerpiece for the bride's table was an arrange ment of white summer flowers. A steak dinner was served, af ter which the bride and groom presented gifts to their atten dants. I???"' RECEPTION & DINNER PARTY Immediately following the wedding ceremony, the bride's parents, Mr. ana Mrs. Leroy Victor Borwn, entertained the wedding party and guests at a reception aid dinner party a the Stage Depot. After the ro ast Beef dinner, the bride and groom cut the wedding cake and the guests were served. Jonston Baptist Circles Circle 1 met with Mrs. C. L. Ritter Monday afternoon. Mrs. Amos Kirby, chairman, presided over the meeting. The program was given by Mrs. Rudolph Best, Mrs. Hubert Ph illips, Mrs. Jennie Boyette, and Mrs. J.T. Bland. Mrs. W.A. Byrd gave the devotional. Du ring the social period,Mrs.Ri tter served pound cake, ice cr eam topped with strawberries, and Cokes to the 8 members and 2 visitors present. Circle 2 met in the Educa tional Building of the Church with Mrs. Boyce Boyette, ch airman, presiding. 1116 progr am was given by Mrs. Boyette Mrs. Hubert Pnllllps, Mrs. Norwood Phillips, and Mrs. Jesse Kirby. Five members were present. The Junior Circle met on Monday evening with Mrs. Ji mmy West. Mrs. Jesse Qu inn, chairman, preside. Mrs. Quinn gave the devotional. The missionary program "Ch ristmas in August was stre ssed. During tne social period, Mrs. West served fruit salad, homemade cookies, and Cokes to the 12 members, 1 new me mber, and WMU President, Mrs. Hubert Phillips.
