Girl Scout Neighborhood meeting in Warsaw. Library open. Fireman meet. < PERSONALS Mrs. Coy Peeler of Gold HU1 Is spending a month with her daughter, Mrs. C.W. Surratt. Reverend C.T. Rogers of Tarboro, recently visited old friends in Rose Hill and Wal lace for several days. Mr. Rogers was pastor of the Rose Hill Methodist Church for nine years and has now retired from the active ministry while here he stopped with Mr. and Mrs. Rhodes Young, and visited with many old friends in town. Mrs. C.T. Fus sell. Sr. has returned from an extended visit to her son, Aaron Fussell, and his family In Raleigh. Mrs. J.W. Blanch ardhas been spending some time with her sidtfcr, Mrs. Lemuel Dawson of Snow Hill, who has returned to her home there from Lenoir General Hospital where she was confined following a very ser ious accident earlier in the fall. Mrs. Blanchard returned home last week and reports Mrs. Dawson to be Improving. Mrs. Dawson is the former Miss Winifred Rouse of Rose Hill. There has been much visit ing in Rose Hill homes through the Thanksgiving season, and many Rose HillTans have vis ited aw ay over the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mos back and Mrs. Llllle Belle Br ummta spent the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Staidfleld of Brown Summitt. Mrs. Betty Jean Moore and children, Neil aid Karen, of Raleigh and Miss Jean Carol Stanley of Beulavllle were holi day guests of Mr . and Mrs. DeWfit Lockerman. Mr. and Mrs. John Cooper and little daughter of Raleigh spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cooper. Mrs. Jack Christian, John and Emily, of Jacksonville, Fla. visited Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ross Cavenaugh for the Thanks giving holidays. Mrs. Christian lis the former Miss Vera Cav enaugh of Rose Hill. Their mother, Mrs. Macon Cavenaugh who is a patient in the nur sing home in Warsaw, also spent the weekend with the Cav enaughs here. Miss Vada Grant of Shady Haven Nursing Home in Bur gaw spent Thanksgiving with her niece, Mrs. Dermis Ramsey and Mr. Ramsey of Rose Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hlnson spent the weekend in Raleigh, visiting Mrs. Hlnson's family, the Suessenberry's. Mr. aid Mrs. Carr are still confined to their beds but are back * their home in Green ville rfter spending a day and night tai Wake Memorial Hos pital in Raleigh. Mr. Carr received a severe concussion. Mrs. Carr {formerly Clara Robinson) suffered a cracked bone in the right cheek and a paralyzed nerve has resulted. Their son, MacDonald Carr, Jr., received slight injuries and was dismissed rfter first aid at the hospital. Their neighbor, who was drfiring, has broken ribs and his wife re ceived a broken knee cap. All were bruised and shaken. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Robin son of Rose Hill returned from their d eighte r' s home on Sund ay evening saying they were still in a most painful condition and not ye| able to be up. Mrs. Adelle Carr and Miss Dolly Sue Carr are with them this week. Richard G. Wilson Commissioned Word has bean received by Mr. ami Mrs. R.M. Wilson of Rose Hill, that their son, 2nd Lt. Richard Glenn Wilson of Fort Pucker, Alabama has had a raise In rating to First Lieu tenant. ZXon Presbyterian Church. Rev. Q ark Porter, brought the message, and the chancel choir of the Baptist Church fur nished special music. BenHar rell, the lay leader of die Rose Hill Methodist Church, led the services. The service was well attended. Adoption Announced Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Jer ome Fussell Jr. announce the adoption of a baby daughter, Leslie Elizabeth, on Novem ber 13th. The baby was born on Sept. 6th. The Fussells have a son , Craig, who is five years old. Mr. and Mrs. DJ. Fussell Sr., are the Rose Hill grand parents, and Mrs. Oscar Fus sell is the baby's great-grand mother.
