Miss Frances Ann Phillips and Mr. Phil Braxton Bell were united in marriage in the sancturary of the Johnson's Baptist Church of Warsaw. The Reverend J. Huber Dixon, minister of the bride, officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Norwood Abner Phil lips of Warsaw and the bride groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Braxton Daimer Bell of Warsaw. The church was decorated' using palms and greenery with caqfelabras on either side. * The/vows were spoken before a *3 satin covered kneeling bench. Prior to the ceremony, Mr. J. W. Boyette, Jr., of Warsaw, presented a program of wedding musk, Mrs. Tommle Phillips, also of Warsaw, sang "Day Is Golden Promise" and the "Lord's Prayer" as benedic tion. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a formal gown of silk faced peau desoir. The gown was fashioned with a scooped neckline, semi Empire waist, and short sleeves which were appliqued with re embroidered Alencon lace. The gown's A-line skirt featured appliques of re-embroidered Alencon lace and trim along the hem in the same lace. The gown's back closed with tradi tional wedding buttons and was accentuated with a detachable chapel length train which was edged and appliqued with re embroidered Alencon lace. The bride wore a fingertip veil of imported silk illusion which fell from petals of re-embroi dered Alencon lace intersper sed with pearls. The bride carried a bouquet of white ste phanotls and lily of the valley centered with a white orchid. Miss Jenell Klrby of War saw, was maid of honor. She wore a floor length gown of pink chiffon. The empire bod Ice of red velvet was accented by a hemline of pink satin and a large satin bow in the back. Her heatfeiece was of red illu sion and graced with a matching bow of velvet. She carried a crescent of red carnations and white pompoms tied with silver streamers. Bridesmaids were Miss Nancy Stephens of KenansviUe, Miss Becky Phillips, cousin of the bride, Miss Jeanette Bell, sister of the groom and Miss Jan Phillips, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids' dresses and flowers were idanrtcal to those of the maid of honor. Mr. Brajctoo Dinner Bell ser ved as his son's best man. Ushers were Mr. Johnny Carl ton, Mr. Harry Phillips. A three course dinner was served the 10guests WEDDING BREAKFAST Prior to the Weddfag of Miss Frances Ann Phillips and Mr. Phil Braxton Bell on Sunday, the parents of the groom were hosts to a wedding breakfast at the Country Squire, honor ing the bridal couple, their families and attendants. The guests enjoyed Cranberry Juice cocktail, congealed salad, roast almond chicken, broccoli with Hollands Is e sauce, stuffed po tato and rum raisin Ice cream. An unusual centerpiece on the bridal couple's table featured a peacock. Theuble was'cen cered with an arrangement of white, red, and pink carnations in the center branch of a five branch candelabra. The bride's book was pre sided over by Mrs. Shelby He ath of Clinton. The table was overlaid with a white cloth gr aced by a candle and the bride's bouquet. Jk. Assisting In serving were Misses Phyllis and Faye Waller, Miss Mary Dixon, Miss Mary Ezzell, Mrs. Herman Phi llips, Mrs. James Bland and Mrs. Johnny Carlton. Good byes were said to Mr. and Mrs. Amos Kir by. For her wedding trip die bride chose a dress and coat ensemble of Pink. Her acces sories were navy and she wore the white orchid lifted from her bouquet. Middle too of Raleigh spent the "week end with Mr. and Mrs. B.Clyde Surratt. Mrs. Libby Grady Lines of Norfolk visited her sister, Mrs. Marion Best, and relatives at Kenansville this week. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Oraugh on, Jr. attended a retirement dinner for Larry Weldon in Por tsmouth, Virginia MonJay night. Mr. Weldon was a coach of Mr. Draughon's at ha. grave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia and his baseball coach at Presbyterian College. . Mr. and Mrs. Belt on Mln shew, Arthur, and Kenny joinec Mr. and Mrs. Brad Mlnshew and Libby of Rocky Mount for dinner Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. Fats on Joyner near Mount Olive. The occasion was to celebrate Libby's second birth day. M. H. Baar is a patient at Veterans' Hospital in Durham. His room number is B-7. J. E. T, Joyner attended the annual dis rict patrol Christmas party in Wallace Thursday evening. The Home Gardeners and the ir husbands met Thursday ev ening at seven o'clock m the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Carlton on Meadowbrook Lane for their annual Christmas sup per. Arrangements throughout the house and on the outside doors were made by various club members. Rev. Charles Hinson returned thanks prior to the evening meal which was served buffet from the dining room. A white linen cloth was used on the dining room table. An arrangement fashioned from greenery and fresh fruit flanked by gold candles in hurricane lamp candlestick holders made up the centerpiece. Individual tables with appropriate center pieces were set up for the guests. Shrimp cocktails were served ?
