Since carinas bloom lare when most of the other blooming pl ants have faded and have such a lasting, vivid color, the club hopes they will be planted ex tensively throughout the gardens in town and especially in public areas The president made a strong plea for new members She requested each member to be responsible for securing at least one new member before next vear. A count of plants planted by members during this year was very good: dozens of annuals, over a hundred azaleas, many dogwood trees, and one member reported that she has planted one hundred pines. The programs for the next three months were discussed. In March Mrs. Louise Wells, chairman, will present slides of the Elizabethan Gardens, in April e picnic lunch followed by a tour of the Robert Holnws Camellia Garden is scheduled with Mrs. B.F. Hobbs as hos tess. For the May meet Ira the club has tentative plans for a candlelight flower show with several other features depicting the central theme.
