Miss Phyllis Irene Fields and Carl Lynwood Brunson, Jr. were joined together in Holy Matrimony onSundayafternoon. Feb. 23. 1973 at 8 p.m. in an impressive double ring cere mony. in Saint Helena's Epis copal Church of Beaufort, S.C. The wedding was performed by the Rev. Robert E. Ubbey As sistant Rector of that historic church which dates back to 1712. Altar arrangements of white glads flanked by palms and lighted tapers formed the ba ckground. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ivey w. Fields of Kenansvilie. N.C. Mr. and Mrs. Carl L. Brunson of Sum roe rt on, S.C. are the parents of the groom. Music was furnished by Mrs. Robert E. Ubbey. . Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gipm of white eyelet made em pire style with long sleeves And wrist length gloves. She i white mantilla and car* ried a nosegay of daisies and fern. Mrs Karl Walet of Beau fort. S.C. was matron of honor and the only attendant She wore a long green gown also made empire style. She car ried a mixed bouquet of white flowers. The grooms father served as best man. Ushers were; James Castay and Larry Pe terson both of Beaufort, S.C. Holy Communion was cele brated after the marriage ce remony. The Bride's mother chose for her daughters wedding a pink chantung with re-embroi dered sleeveless coat. She wore pink accessories and a white carnation corsage. The grooms mother wore a beige knit dress with black accesso ries and wore a wWm carna tion corsage. The new Mrs Branson is a Special Education teacher in the Beaufort Schools. She is a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne Col lege in Hickory, N.C; Her husband is a Medical Corps man in the U.S. Navy. They are living in Beaufort, S.C. Reception A reception was held in the Parish House following the we dding The receiving line was composed of the bridal couple and their parents. A color scheme of yellow and white was emphasised in table app ointments and refreshments. D aisles were used in the floral arrangements, with other white flowers. Ryder Sunday. Mrs Julia Harriett and Mrs Grace Pollock of Trenton visi ted Mr*. Woodrow BrlnsonSun. and attended the concert. Miss Tina Hammond, MYs. Eliza Hammon and Miss Ethe lene Foscue of Trenton visited Miss Lottie A. WUllams Sun. and attended the concert. Jerry Reynolds, McRae Star pe and Miles Smith were here during the weekend from NCSU in Raleigh. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Yancey of Raleigh spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stephens. Jimmy Johnson of WUllngb oro, NJ. spent the weekend with Mrs. O.P. Johnson. He was Joined here on Sun. by Mr. and Mrs. McNair Johnson of Wlllard. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Nicholson of Burgaw. Mr. and Mrs. Dane 11 Johnson of Rocky Mount also the Richard PUfMp of Fayetteville and Mr. and Mrs. I J.M. Brock of Bailey. They all I attended the coocert Sunday. I Mrs. Vletta Orcutt and Mrs. Ruth Thompsons of Syracuse, N.Y. spent Wed. night with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Suttles and Mrs. PJ. Dobs on. They were returning from a trip to Fla. Mr. and Mrs. David EzseU who have been working in Ra leigh spent the weekend at their home near here. They were Joined here on Fri. by Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kornegay and children of Charleston, S.C. Miss Susan Craft of Peace College is home for spring holidays. Miss Mary Lee Sykes and SiSiSLSS^t Dinsori accompanied .-.Irs. Ro* bert Powell and I to,. Women Of Grove Church The General Meeting of the Women of Grove Presbyterian Church was held Moo. night in the Sanaurtry. The president. Mrs. J J. Wells presided over the business session. The Op ening devotional was conducted by Mrs. N.B. Boney. The pro Kam was in charge of Mrs. ck Sitterson who discussed a the posters that she had on display and gave some informa tive fans about India. She then called on Mrs. David John Kil patrick to introduce the guest speaker who was Mrs. Joshl a native of Bombay, India. A so cial hour followed the meeting during which time the twenty or more present were invited into the Adult Class Room for coffee, cookies and s us age balls served by the refreshment com mittee composed of Mrs. Ralph Brown, Mrs. Billy Stephens and Miss Margaret Williams. Kontroct Klub Mrs. Elllse Vestal was hos tess to the Kenansville Kon tract Klub Thurs. night. High score was won by Mrs. A.T. Outlaw, second high score was presented to Mrs. N.B. Boney.
