Man Found Shot to Death on Highway in Dufdin A Rt. 2, Rose Hill man was found shot to death lata Saturday night on highway at Tin City in southern Duplin County. Deputy Glenn Jernigan, investigator with the Duplin County Sheriff's Department, said the body of Henry Vernon Carr, black mala about 45, was found in the short stretch of road that was part of N. C. 41 before the highway was ISbned. Carr had been shot three times and wm dead when officers arrived, Jernigan ;? said. The sherriff's depart meat was alerted after someone 1 telephone the Wallace Police Department to report the slaying. Jernigan said no arrests had been made, but investigation was continuing.
