Last year Kenan sville won jhe "Beautificatioa Award"in a state wide contest for small towns. The town is entering the same contest again this year In order to create mere interest among home -owners to make their yards m.re attractive. ?, , the Beautlficatlon Committee is sponsoring a "Yard of the Moo h" contest Lettsrs have been sent to all business aid property owners in town asking that they help by keeping their premises neat and attractive It is desired hat grass and weeds be kept cut in each yard as well as the area between local ownership and town or state property.
