' The Duplin Times Federal ESAA Project An Emergency School Aid Act (ESAA) Advisory Commit tee is working with the Super intendent of Schools and the Board of Education of Duplin County on a proposed Federal ESAA Project. The purpose of the project is to improve read ing among the elementary sch ool students. This project which if for the school year 1974-75 will be sub mitted for approval in mid De cember of 1973. The project will be a contin uation of the plan now being used in Duplin County to im prove self concept of a school child by making him more sue cessful in achieving. It will be accomplished by using a Lab and Tutorial approach. This as sistance will be in reading. Hie grant is under the ausi pices of HEW.
