Wylie to senior executive vice president and controller. L. Vincent Lowe, Jr. was promoted to senior [ executive vice president, and Sam P. Douglas. Jr. was S* named executive vice presi i dent' 1 Lowe joined BB&T's - Wilson staff in I%1 and was ^ promoted to assistant vice % president two years later and named head of the Wallace v" office. He was manager of , the New Bern office for four : years prior to returning to Wilson in 1970. He is head of K the Branch Administration Division, the Credit Adminis tration Division, and a direc tor of Branch Corporation. Lowe is a graduate of tfc " University of North Carolina, the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers, and the Executive Program of Professional Management Education sponsored by UNC. He has been active for a number of years in the N.C. Bankers Association and is immediate past treasurer. He has also served as trea surer of the Young Bankers Division of that association. Lowe is vice president of the United Way of Wilson County and a member qf r Robert Morris Associates, Wilson .Country. Club, and the;>Flrsr United Methodist Church. He is a former trustee and chairman of the Finance Committee of the Methodist Home for Children and a past member of the Board of Advisors of Chowan College. While in the U.S. Army, he served two years in the finance section. Mrs. Lowe is the former Pearla Ann Revelle of Wood ? land. They have three sons. IUMW Cluster Meeting a group ot approximately SO United Methodist Women from the Kenansville, Turkey. Sarecta. Woodland and Unity churches met Tuesday night. Feb. 27th, with the Warsaw United Methodist Women as hostesses for a "Guster" Sub-District meeting. They were welcomed by Mrs. Thomas Hall, president of the Warsaw unit. The program was pre sented by Ellis Henry Town send of Wallace, district vice president. She read a poem written by a Wallace member. Marjorie Overman, and led the group singing ^ "This is the Day." Mrs. Townsend emceed a fashion show coordinated with the duties of the officers of the group. Also modeling and describing the different positions were Delaine Rector and Elaine Hall of Kenansville. and Jean Smith, Lydia Thompson, Pat Broadrick and Fran Aycock of Warsaw. v A short film on "Alone and Loneliness" was presented. The meeting closed with the group singing the United Methodist Women purpose to the tune of a Welsh folk song.
