from Santa and a fellowship
period will follow. The play is
the story of two families who
were neighbors, and one
family moved away. At
Christmas they each decide
to visit the other ? thus
when they reach the other's
home, they wonder where
the family is!
wonder where the family is!
On Sunday, Dec. 23, a

The public is invited to all
of these services. Also, the
UMYF have again placed the
Chrismon tree with its
beautiful symbols in the
sanctuary. The public is
invited to stop at their con

see it.
IT'S THE LAW!
Did you know that a
woman cannot be disquali
fied for a loan because she is
preghant? That public assis
tance benefits are consid
ered income and cannot be
discounted when applying
for a loan?
Did you know that elderly
people cannot be denied a
loan simply because of age?
Or that a creditor cannot
require reapplication or ter
minate an account because
of a change in the ap
plicant's marital status or
retirement?
Did you know that if you
are turned down for credit
you have the right to know
why?
CUMIS Insurance Society,
Inc., thought you should
know the facts. You as a
consumer do have rights.
Consumer legislation is de
signed to help, but, unfor
tunately, many people do
not know or cannot keep up
with all the regulations.
As the world's leading
provider of credit union
bond insurance, CUMIS is
doing something about it. It
has been conducting con
sumer legislation seminars
designed to keep credit
union personnel abreast of
the latest legislative changes.
This way, consumers can be
assured of their rights when
they come to a credit union.
Last year over 1,000 at
tended the sessions. This
year even more attended as
the seminars moved to such
places as New York City
and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Know the facts before
you sign. The heartache you
save may be your own!
