Warsaw United Methodist I Christmas Service The chancel choir will pre sent the Christmas cantata. "Born A King" by John W. Peterson at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16. This is one of the most beautiful cantatas written by Peterson. Direct ing will be James E. Thig pen. Soloists are Mrs. Billy Phelps. Mrs. William Costin, Jr., Dr. Gary Broadrick and A1 Smith. Organist will be Miss Regina Whaley and Mrs. James E. Thigpen will be the pianist. The narrator will be the Rev. J.D. Aycock. The public is cordially invited to attend. Other special Christmas services bill be a musical play, "It's Christmas All Over the Place," which will be presented by the two youngest choirs. This will be at 7 p.m. on Thurs., Dec. 20 in the Fireside Room. A visit from Santa and a fellowship period will follow. The play is the story of two families who were neighbors, and one family moved away. At Christmas they each decide to visit the other ? thus when they reach the other's home, they wonder where the family is! wonder where the family is! On Sunday, Dec. 23, a special Christmas message will be delivered by the pastor during the 11 a.m. service. The vouth handbell choir will play carols, and the children's choirs will sing. Christmas Eve Com munion service will be from 7-9. This will be a familv come-and-go type service. You are invited to come as you are at your convenience. Bring your family and anv guests you might have to the sanctuary for a period of meditation, and then come to the altar where the pastor will be waiting and ready to serve you. The public is invited to all of these services. Also, the UMYF have again placed the Chrismon tree with its beautiful symbols in the sanctuary.
