To The Ed?or Letter To i" Editor. Duplin Times Progress Sentinel Kenansville. NC 28349 Dear Sir: As a native of Kenansville i would like to take this oppor tunity to express my appre ciation for all of those who worked with much love and care so that we could have a true feeling of Christmas during the holidays. It has been thirty-three years since I have known the joy of spending time in Kenansville during the holidays and what a pleasure it was for me this year. While driving through some of the other towns in the area I literally swelled with pride and joy because Kenansville outshone them all. and I sincerely hope that tinsel and plastic Santas will never have a place again when preparations are being made for the celebration of the birth of Christ. Since we returned Saturday night we have shared the beauty and excitement of a true "old fashioned Christmas" with our friends. Mv excitement did have moments of dismay, however, because on at least two occasions the attendance was very poor. The "Sounds of Christmas" and "A Christmas Memory" were outstanding and for those who missed It I do feel sad. To each and everyone who gave of themselves to make sure that Kenansville was not just another hum drum.
