Jones-Burton Vows Spoken Joyce Burton of Kenans vitle and Ralph Oliver Jones of Wallace were married in a double-ring ceremony at three o'clock Saturday after noon. January 17, 1981, at Maranatha Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, Beula ville. The Reverend Harold Turner, pastor of the bride, officiated. Joyce is the daughter of Bonnie A. Price of Route 1, Magnolia, and the late Mike Burton. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton O Jones of Route Two, Wal lace. i ne cnurcn was decorated with a large arrangement of fresh flowers on the com munion tabie with a single candle on each side of it. Two fresh palms and two candef abras were used on the altar. The bride wore a formal blue polyester knit gown. It was fashioned with a deep V-neckline. a long flowing chiffon cape and featured an empire waistline with a full circular skirt. Her tiered veil of s:.lk illusion was attached to a cluster of pearl-centered silk flowers with satin streamers. Her bouquet was a cascade of silk flowers with satin streamers. Tara Leigh Jones, daughter of the groom, wore a formal blue sheerganza gown fashioned with an ante bellum draped off-the-shoul der neckline, fitted waist and a softly flowing skirt with a deep ruffle. The gown was accented with a butterfly bustle that attached at the waist with a self-fabric rose. She wore a cluster of blue silk flowers with satin streamers in her hair and carried a basket of blue silk daisies. James Earl Brown Jr., nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Billy and Michael Bell, sons of the bride, were ushers. Each wore a navy blue suit and a white boutonniere. The groom escorted the bride to the altar. Each mother wore a navy dress and a white rose cor sage witn oiue trim. Melba Cavenaugh, grandmother of the groom, wore a navy jacket dress and a corsage of white carnations. Wedding music wa%., '?played by Mrs. Harolff^ Turner. Mrs. John Keffer sang "I Pledge My Love" and "The Wedding Prayer." Mrs. Rommie Hill, sister of the bride, presided at the register. Mrs. Russell Tucker and Mrs. Milo Pickett were directors. Each wore white corsages with blue trim. The bride attended James Kenan High School and James Sprunt Technical Col lege. She is employed as a legal secretary to Vance B. Gavin, attorney, of Kenans vine. The groom attended Wallace-Rose Hill High School and UNC-W. He is employed by Diamond Shamrock Chemical Co. of Castle Hayne. After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will reside in Kenansville.
