MotL.' - * Hinuj mmu> nvuniun The families of Jonas and Maybell Futrall will have their annual family reunion on Sunday, May 16 at the Community Building in Potters Hill beginning at I p.m. All decendants are urged to make plans to attend, bring a picnic lunch, and also friends are invited to join the clan for their get together. Personals Sgt. and Mrs. Robert Price Jr. of Fort Eustice. Va. spent the past weekend with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Price Sr. Their son. Ryan, had spent the past two months with his grand parents. The families enjoyed a cook out at the home of another son. David and his wife Rence. Mrs. W.V. Oxley Jr. made a business trip to Wallace and Warsaw Monday, and on Tuesday in Clinton. Satur day they were in Goldsboro with the Terry Cottles. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Byrd of Hargetts Crossroads shopped in Bculavillc Friday. Gerald Davis of Kinston visited Mrs. Leon Davis Fri day. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Miller and Li/ Miller were in Richlands to visit Lawt Miller and family. Mrs. lona Collier, retired postmistress of Trenton, attended the weekend wed ding of her niece, Amanda Hicks and Clifton Penny. She spent Sunday with Mrs. ? Sadie Thigpcn. her mother. Mr. and Mrs. Harold McGlothin and family of Portsmouth. Va. were here with her mother, Mrs. Sadie Thigpcn. and also attended ncr niece's wedding on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Bray Batts of Wallace drove to Elizabeth Brinkeys in Dun kirk. Md. last weekend and brought his mother, Mrs. A.L. Batts back home. She had been visiting there for two weeks. Gina Lanier, a student at Campbell College, was home for the weekend with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Lanier. Paul Bolin Jr. and Roose velt Mercer of Chapel Hill, students, spent Sunday with Mrs. Paul Bolin Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Sand lin and children of Dudley "V.v ?v JJ/VIII I ^ Day with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. I.J. Sandlin Sr. Some of Virginia Camp bell's children and grand children were here with her and Clint Campbell for Mother's Day. Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Thomas had their son Mike home with them for the weekend. The Senior Citizens of Sandy Plain held their monthly meeting Saturday. Several visitors attended from other areas in the county and from Onslow County. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Brown visited Claton Brown in On slow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville during the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jarrett have returned to their home in West Virginia after an extended visit with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Brown, Mrs. and Mrs. P.E. Thigpen and her father, Mr. Mullikin. were in Greenville this week end with Dr. and Mrs. William E. Brown and their daughter. Jessica. Roscoe Sanderson, who was a patient in Duplin General, has returned home to recuperate. Harold Davis, auto acci dent victim, is a patient in Wilmington New Hanover Hospital and has been trans ferred from ICU to a room. Rev. Stephen Smith is recuperating at home after a ? stay in DGH. Bill Guy has returned after treatment in Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston. Mrs. Walter Miller was admitted to DGH Friday. Mary Howard has return ed to the rest home after a stay in a New Bern hospital. Claton Brown, brother of Leo Brown, has been ad mitted to Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, on Friday.
