The Jim Lee family re union was held Sunday at the Free Will Baptist Church recreational hall, with the Eugene Exum group in ?>rge. Harold Davis remains in New Hanover Hospital in Wilmington. Lizzie Mae Weston is re cuperating at home after surgery in Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston. Ellis Turner has also re turned home after being a patient in Lenoir Memorial. Mrs. Eva Edwards is a j^tient in Guardian Care in V^nansville since being re leased from Duplin General. Alpha Edwards visited her during the past weekend. Lula 0- Parker remains a shut-in. Birthday Mr. Daniel Williams who has been a patient in Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston for the second time during this month, cele brated his 95th birthday on Thursday May 27. State NCAE President Speaks At Banquet John Wilson, N.C.A.E. president, spoke recently at the Duplin County unit of NCAE-ACT banquet. Wil liam Frederick, local NCAE president, and Mrs. Pearlene Faison, local ACT president, presided. The welcome was given by Jimmie Newkirk and Rev. Laurer Sharpe offered the invocation. After-dinner entertain ment was provided by the Unicorns of James Kenan. Tommy Benson introduced the officers and special guests. L.S. Guy. superin tendent of Duplin County Schools, paid tribute to the retirees: Ms. Geneva Weeks. Ms. Wilma Miller, Ms. Win nie Dixon, Ms. Eleanor Nor ris and Ms. Nellie Rivenbark.
