Lisa Hinson and Susan Oxley made a business trip to Jacksonville Monday and Susan Oxley visited with Mrs. Ann Hall in the Scott's Store area Tuesday. Vallie Oxley and Susan shopped at Camp Lejeune Wednesday afternoon and on Saturday. Mrs. Jerry Sandlin and children of Dudley visited Mr. and Mrs. I.J. Sandlin Sr. i Wednesday. Mrs. Russell J. Lanier of Wrightsville Beach spent several days here at thier home and visited Hazel Brinson and Mayo Lanier. Mr. and Mrs. June Thomas spent last weekend at Topsail Beach. Gerald Davis of Kinston visited Mrs. Leon Davis Fri day. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Ken nedy and children of Char lotte spent several days at her father's cottage on White Oak River in the Swansboro area during the past week. They visited relatives in Bculaville Saturday. Mrs. Macon Brown. Mrs. Morris Grady and Adcll Matthews shopped in Wal lace Thursday. Lisa Hinston was in Pink Hill Thursday afternoon. Rev.- and Mrs. Garland Foushcc have returned after attending the Southern Bap tist Convention held in New Orleans. La. Mrs. Norwood Raynor and Mrs. Lannie Jackson were in Bculaville Friday afternoon. W.V. Oxley and Susan spent a few days in Beck ley. W.Va. with Mrs. W.V. Oxley Sr. and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny King Sr. of Fort Patrick AFB at Coco Beach. Fla. visited Mr. and Mrs. Theodore King the first part of June. They left their son and daughter. Lynn and Johnny, to spend the rest of June with their grandparents, who will take them back to Florida. Bill Thigpcn has returned home to recuperate after a lew days in the hospital. Ethel Willifbrd is a patient in Lenoir Memorial. Myrt'rc M. Kennedy remains in Pitt Memorial in Greenville. Daniel Williams is recuperating nicely after two stays in Lenoir Memorial. Harold Davis remains at the Rehabilitation Center in Fayettevillc where he is re ceiving therapy. Sandy Plain Senior Citizens On June 15. the ba/aar committee of the Sandy Plain Senior Citizens met at the church to make plans for the I4H2 bazaar. The event has been scheduled for Saturday. Sept. 25th at the educational building of the Sandy Plain Church. The building committee met June 17th. Named to the committee for the group were: L.M. Boslic. Joel Ken nedy. Rev. Rasltie Kennedy. Rashie Kennedy, assistant chairman; Vallie Oxley, sec retary; Mr. and Mrs. Joel Kennedy, treasurers; L.M. Bostic, Joel Kennedy and Herman Smith, land site; and fund-raising. India Mobley, Thelma Houston. Avis Rhodes, Davis Kennedy. Bertha Brown, assisted by Eunice Bostic. The committee will meet again July 15 at 8 p.m. at the educational building. U.D.C. Meets Mrs. Peggy Thomas was hostess to the John Ivey Thomas Chapter #2172 on May 27th. There were ten members present. Mrs. Irene Carroll, presi dent. called the meeting to order and had charge of the rituals and prayer.
