Mrs. Percy Thigpcn spent Labor Day weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Joy Jones in Jack sonville. Mrs. Ray Carol Smith and Mrs. Grover Grady were in Charlotte Tuesday on busi- ' ness. Betty Jekn Cottle of Goldsboro visited Mr. and Mrs. Norman Sandlin Sr., and her sister Eleanor, who is home from Duke Hospital recuperating, on Tuesday. The Ricky Browns have moved to their new home between Potters Hill and Pink Hill, after living in a mobile home next to his mother and brother. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Hodges of Charlotte spent Saturday through Tuesday with Mrs. Clyde Brinson. Nathan and Farrior Brinson Tedder of Indianapolis, Indiana, spent Saturday with her. Mrs. Brinson had spent several days in Charlotte for a series of tests. Hazel Morton of Jackson ville visited Mr. and Mrs. Paul Morton and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Maready Satur day. Patti Powers, student, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Powers. Leslie Susan Oxley at tended the Harper-Howard wedding Sunday at Friend ship United Methodist Church near Warsaw. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ed wards visited the Jerry Cottles in Qinton Sunday. The building committee of the Sandy Plain senior citi zens group met Monday night. The bazaar committee met Tuesday night. Mrs. Owen Edwards was dismissed from DGH. On Sept. 19, Fannie Nethercutt celebrated her 78th birthday. Her two sisters and their families and her brother and his families, gathered to help her, cele brate with a picnic lunch. Homecoming The Beulaville Original Free Will Baptist Church will observe homecoming day on Sunday, Oct. 3. Guest speaker is the Rev. L.B. Manning. Services begin at II a.m. Revival services are planned for the following week through Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. each evening. Guest speaker for revival services is the Rev. Dale Albertson. A cordial invitation is extended to the public to join in the fall revival. Revival The New Hope Baptist Church, Highway 24 east of Beulaville, revival services will begin on Friday, Sept. 24 and run through Sunday, Oct. 3. at 7:30 each evening. Guest speaker is the Rev. Dick Whitney. Special sing ing will be offered each evening. An invitation is extended to the public. Their homecoming day is Oct. 3. Mr. and Mrs. Dexter Ed wards of Route 2, Beulaville announce the birth of their son, Nicholas Dexter, on Tuesday, August 24, 1982, in Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston. Mrs. Edwards is the former Pam Thomas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenwood Thomas of Beula ville. The paternal grand parents are Mr. and Mrs. Willard Edwards of Route 2, Beulaville. Sandy Plain Senior Citlzena The Sandy Plain senior citizens met Saturday. Sept. 11 for their regular meeting. Several announcements were made by President Eunice K. Bostic. The most important event coming up is the annual bazaar scheduled for Sept. 25 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Day Care Center. Lunch will be served starting at 11 a.m. Plates of barbecue pork and fried chicken will be S3 per plate. The group enjoyed the covered dish supper. Rev. Rashie Kennedy returned thanks. Sandy Plain Senior Citizens group is made up of members of several different churches of the area. The program was given by the Christian Life Singers of Potters Hill Advent Christian Church, directed by Mrs. Edward Neal. Happy Day Senior Citizens The Happy Day Senior Citizens Club will meet on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Hallsville Baptist Church.
