Turner-Dekle Vows Spoken Debra Leigh Tutner and Brent Cunnings Dekle Of (Mount Pleasant, S. C. were united in marriage at 8 p. m. Saturday, Sept. 18 in the Pink Hill United Methodist Church. The Rev. W. Thomas Clarke and the Rev. Clarence L. Warren officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her parents ^tnd was escorted to the altar by her father. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leighton Houston Turner of Pink Hill. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cum mings Dekle of Excelsior, Ga. The bride wore a formal own of ivory tissue taffeta designed with a bodice and high neckline overlaid in ivory alencon lace. The yoke was of French illusion and the straight sleeves of lace and the back of the dress featured the tradi tional bridal button closing. H>e A-line skirt, attached below the natural ^waistline, had a border of Rriencon lace at the hemline and fell softly to a cathedral length train, Her headpiece was a wide band accented with alencon lace medallions to which the fingertip veil of Ivory French illusion was attach ed. She carried a bouquet of ^ream colored sweetheart roses and baby's breath at tached to a fan of alencon lace. Attendants Miss Patti Powers of Greensboro, cousin of the bride, was the maid of honor. Miss Margaret Turner of Mount Pleasant, S. C., was the bridesmaid, fend Miss Katrina Dekle of Excelsior, Ga., was the flowergirl. The best man was William JVallace of Tampa, Fla. Ushers were. L. H. I 1 Turner Jr. of Mont Plea sant, brother of the bride; Joe and Davis Gillespie of BumsvUle, nephews of the bride; Rick Powers of Atlanta, Ga., cousin of the bride; and Dekle Phillips of Millen, Ga., cousin of the groom. Wedding music was presented by Hugh Turner Jr. of Pink Hill, cousin of the bride, organist. The wedding was directed by Mrs. William Brewer and Mrs. Charles Watson, both of Pink Hill. The acolyte was Jeff Dekle of Excelsior, Ga., nephew of the groom. The bride is a high school graduate of St. Marv's Junior College in Raleigh and has a bachelor of arts degree from UNC-CH. She continued her studies at the Institute of Paralegal Training in .phUadelDhia. Pa., and is a paralegal with Wise and Cole of Charleston, S. C. The groom is a graduate of Metter, Ga., High School and has a B. S. degree from Georgia Southern College. He also studied at the Col lege of Charleston, S. C., and is a captain in the Air Force Reserve in Charleston. After a wedding trip to Topsail Beach, the couple will reside in Mount Plea sant, S. C. Receptions On June 26, the couple was honored with a tea in Metter, Ga. by aunts of the groom and his sister-in law. On July 10, a cookout was given by Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Dovelle Outlaw, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Thigpen, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Salter, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wat son at the home of the Scotts in Pink Hill. On July 24, a luncheon was given at the Colony House in Charleston, S. C. by Mrs. A. J. Plowden Jr. and Miss Margaret Turner. On Aug. 7, a dessert hour was given at the summer home of Dr. and Mrs. G. W. Adcock in Topsail Beach. On Aug. 14, a luncheon was given by Mrs. F. A. McCrackin Sr. and her daughter, Meri, and Mrs. Matthew S. Moore at the home of Mrs. McCrackin in Summerton, S. C. On Aug. 21, a pig picking was held in Trenton at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds Mason given by the Masons and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stilley of New Bern. On Sept. 17, a rehearsal dinner was given at the Country Squire in Warsaw by the parents of the groom. On Sept. 17, an after rehearsal dance was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Brewer given 'by the Brewers, Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Gillespie, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Turner, Mr. and Mrs. Ethro Hill, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Turner, Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Turner, Miss Susan Mad dox, and Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Simpson. On Sept. 18, a buffet lun cheon at the Longmeadow Country Club in Pink Hill was given by Mrs. Michael Hatch, Mrs. James Miles, Mrs. Haywood Stroud, Mrs. Hugh C. Turner, Mrs. Lynwood Turner, Mrs. William Warren, Mrs. Christine Williams, and Mrs. Tom-Yates. A reception was held following the wedding at the home of the bride's parents.
