Mayor Proclaims "Employ Tho Handicapped Week" Whereas much progress has been made in Ihis city lo see thai our handicapped residents are rehabilitated and restored to a place in society where they can be productive and economically independant; and Whereas these handi capped persons, once placed in suitable employment, are able to return in taxes many times the original investment in their rehabilitation: and Whereas it is the respon sibility of all of us to see that the doors of opportunity are open for these qualified han dicappcd persons, and that (hey are given an equal chance to prove their capa bilities;; ano Whereas not only the handicapped persons and their families will benefit, but the entire economic structure of our community will benefit from their pro duction; Therefore, I proclaim the week of Oct. .1-9, 1982 Em ploy the Handicapped Week in Kcnansville and commend (his observance of our citi zens.
