Jones-Kelly Vows Spoken Miss Frances Olive Kelly }f Mount Olive and Stanley Earl Jones of Pink Hill pledged their wedding vows in adouble-rine ceremony on ?riday. November 5, at seven o'clock in the evening in.the Alum Springs Baptist Church. The officiating minister was the Reverend She|ton Justice. A program of wedding music was presented bv Mrs. Linda Turner, pianist. 'More" and "The Wedding Prayer" were sung by Mrs. Diana Herring. Traditional vedding marches were used. The bride is the daughter )f Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kellv of Mount Olive. Mr. ind Mrs. Earl Jones of Pink fJDl- are the parents of the >room. Escorted to the altar by her ather and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a formal gown of white t)ridal satin and Chantilly lace. The fitted lace bodice featured a Queen Anne neckline outlined with lace etched with seed pearls. The full-length sleeves of matching lace ended with bridal satin inserts. The floor -length skirt extended into a chapel train. To compliment her gown, she chose a white waltz-length veil of nylon silk illusion with a Camelot head piece which were enhanced with dainty Venise lace. Miss Faye Kelly, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and bridesmaid was Miss Lisa Kelly, also a sister of the bride. Earl Jones was his son's best man. Mount Olive. The bride is a 1978 gradu ate of East Duplin High School and received her associate degree in nursing from James Sprunt Technical College. She is now em ployed by Duplin General Hospital. The groom, a 1977 gradu ate of East DupKn High School, is employed by North Hills. Inc. and is presently working at Jacksonville. Reception Immediately following the ceremony, the bride's parents entertained at a reception in the church fel lowship hall. After the couple cut the first slice of the three-tiered white wedding cake, which was adorned with clusters of flowerettes in the bride's chosen color of pink, Mrs. Carolyn Sanderson and Mrs. Jennifer Brinson completed the serving. Punch was poured by Mrs. Debbie Wheeler. Other Entertainment Parents of the groom-elect honored the couple, members of the weddine party and friends with a pig picking on Oct. 30 at Smith's Community Building. The family of the groom to-be honored the couple with a floating shower on Oct. 9 at the home of the groom. The women of Alum Springs Baptist Church and aunt of the bride were hos tesses for a floating shower on Sept. 29 in the church fellowship hall. Ingram was hostess for the Liberty Hall Bridge Club Wednesday night. Mrs. Ellis Vestal sub stituted for the only absent member. High score for members was made by Mrs. Stuart Hall for which she was presented a gift. Mrs. Vestal was also given a gift. Be tween progressions, the hostess served fruit cake and Russian tea. Christmas nap kins and tallies were used. Kontract Klub Mrs. Faison McGowen was hostess for the Kenans ville Kontract Klub in the home of Mrs. Stuart Hall Thursday night. It was with perfect attendance. Between progressions, the hostess, assisted by Mrs. Hall, served a salad course with coffee or tea. Christmas tallies and napkins were used. High score for the three progres sions was made by Mrs. W.M. Ingram. She was pre sented a gift. Mrs. Hazel Bass of Clinton spent the recent holidays here with the H.D. Taylors. They all had Thanksgiving dinner with the Eldon Browns near Magnolia. Mr. and Mrs. Bernice Whaley and Mrs. Barbara Sholar of Holly Ridge visited Mrs. Ima Williamson Thurs day. Mrs. Angela Bostick of Kinston visited Mrs. Ima Williamson one day last week.
