Mrs. Archie Lanier visited -
Harold Glenn Lanier, her
son. in the ICU at Duplin
General Thursday. Leon and
York Lanier visited him on
Thursday also.
Allen Quinn and Owen
Edwards visited Alpha Ed
wards in Whaley's Rest
Home Wednesday and were
at the clinic in Chinquapin
for Mr. Edwards checkup
and the doctor had him
admitted to Duplin General
for additional treatment and
tests.
Michael Sandlin, a student
at NCU-CH, was home
Friday to spent the holidays
with Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Sandlin and Jeanette Wil

Marcelleous Dobson. a
student of Chowan College in
Murfreesboro, came Friday
to spent several days with his
mother, Katie Lee Dobson.
Mrs. Norman Sandlin Sr.
had a quilting party and
dinner at her son's store
Tuesday. Mrs. Sandlin
invited several neighbors
friends to be her guest at the
quilting and dinner. Her
guests were Lib Bostic, Katie
Boyette. Mary Lee Batts,
Grace Hatcher. Evelyn Ken
nedy, Sybil Maready. Minnie
JSoutherland, Lizzie
Kennedy. Mrs. John Bill
Nethercutt and Thelma
Quinn and Lucy. The latter
two of Kenansville. The
group completed one quilt
and finished another that had
been started. Jointing them
for dinner was Betty Jean
Cottle of Goldsboro.

nedy were honored on his
76th birthday Friday with a
seafood dinner at Deno's
Restaurant Friday, April 1,
by his daughter, Rudene
Kennedy.
Michigan Visitors
Mr. and Mrs. Elbert
Lanier of Warren. Michigan,
arrived Friday to spent the
Easter holiday with Mrs.
Cola Lanier. He has been
living in Michigan for the
past 14 years.
Blke-A-Thon
St. Jude's Bike-A-Thon
will be held in Beulaville on
Sunday, April 10 beginning
at 2 p.m. The route will begin
and end at Beulaville ele
mentary School. Local mer
chants will be sponsoring
riders and a police escort will
