Mr. and Mrs. J. Crenshaw Thompson cr juthern Pines announce the
engagement and forthcoming marriage o ;ir daughter, Sally Hayes, to
David Wayne Seignious of Charleston, S.?.. "lhe prospective bridegroom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Seignious of Charleston. The bride-elect is a
graduate of the Western Carolina School of Nursing and she is employed at
Roper Hospital in Charleston. Mr. Seignious is a senior medical student at
Medical University, South Carolina, in Charleston. He is a graduate of Emory
University in Atlanta, Ga. A May 26 wedding is planned at noon at
? Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Southern Pines. Sally Hayes is the daughter
of Jean Tyndall, formerly of Kenansville, and the granddaughter of Mrs.
Eugene Tyndall of Kenansville.

daughter, Leah Leanne, on Monday,
March 19, 1984, in Lenoir Memorial
1 Hospital in Kinston. Mrs. Sanderson
' is the former Janice Campbell,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert
Campbell of Beulaville. The paternal
Srandmother is Mrs. Beulah San
erson Brown, also of Beulaville.
Greatgrandparents are Mr. and Mrs.
Domnick Verricchia and Mrs. Emery
Campbell.
Stork Shower
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Parker were

Saturday night, March 17, in the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Parker

Susan and Deborah Parker and Mrs.

Receives 20-year Award
? I Ophelie Pickett of Beulaville re
cently received a 20-year award from
I the N.C. Department of Agriculture
as inspector of meat and poultry. She
- has been employed with the Agri
culture Department in Raleigh for
the past 20 years.

Jented the award. Miss Pickett
received a gold bracelet with three
. sapphires as well as a certificate for
her faithful services and perfor
mance of duty.
- Miss Pickett lives in Raleigh but
comes to her home in the Hallsville
area on weekends. She owns and
operates two turkey houses, she is a
1959 graduate of Beulaville High
School. She is the daughter of the
late Lewis and Minnie Pickett of
Beulaville.
