Mini ? Storm Hits Warsaw ^ Robert Aultman of Warsaw is cleaning up after the mini-storm Wednesday. High winds toppled the weening willow, a favorite shadv snot at the Aultman home. Hail reported to be larger than golf balls fell. Then a hard-pouring rain and winds. A small pine tree also was blown over at the Aultmans, just west of Warsaw on Rural Road 1105. Kenion To Receive NAACP Recognition A Duplin County veteran educator will be the central figure in the NAACP Awards nighi program to be held Sept. 29th in Kenansville. A.M. Kenion, a retired general supervisor of Duplin County schools, who served 50 years of dedicated service to public education, will receive an expression of appre ciation, according to R.E. Wilkins. "Education of all kinds found an ally in Miss Kenion, whether in the ' classroom, Boy or Girl Scout, 4-H, NEA, NHA or whatever." Wilkins said. "Education has been the centerpiece of the NAACP program. Her warmth, vitality, humor and cooperative spirit has been an un matched quality in promoting learning experiences," he added. In addition, several organizations, groups and individuals will receive national recognition for the support given to the NAACP and its pro grams.
