ports Harry Carlton leads Leon Wells
by two strokes after two rounds of
the club championship. Morgan says

The local chapter of National
Association of Retired Federal Em
ployees (NARFE) held its regular
monthly meeting Tuesday at Captain
Willie's in Clinton.
At the last meeting, Elsie Parker,
state vice-president, installed the
temporary officers including Jack
Patterson of Roseboro, president;
Arthur M. Benton of Kenansville,
vice-president; Grace R. McNeill of
Faiscn, secretary; and Charlie
Robinson of Rose Hill, treasurer.
Francis McColman of Faison was
appointed legislative representative
and Shirley Naylor service repre
sentative.
Those who were unable to attend,
but who are interested in becoming a
member, should contact one of the
abqye officers.
The first college credit course in television was offered in 1951 at Mar
quette University in Wisconsin. Fourteen students registered to learn about
programming, coordinating, writing, staging, directing, acting and admin
istrative duties.
