Beulaville Bank Forms Local Board Of Directors First Citizens Bank in Beulaville has appointed seven business and professional leaders to its newly established local board of directors, according to Lewis R. Holding, chairman of the statewide bank. Elected were Patricia F. Edwards, Wilbur Hussey Jr., Elwood Maready, Paul A. Morton, Frank J. Thomas, M.R. Whaley and E.F. Crute. They will assist bank manage ment in business development and policy matters and will serve as liaisons between First Citizens and the community. Edwards is an insurance agent and is employed by Joseph H. Edwards. The Duplin County native is an alumna of North Carolina State University. She and her husband, Joseph H. Edwards, have a daughter and live in Beulaville. Hussey is owner of Theresa's Fashions and is mayor of Beulaville. The Lenoir County native earned a bachelor's degree from East Caro lina University. He is past president of the Beulaville Lions Club and the Beulaville Jaycees. Hussey is also past director of the Duplin Health Board and past chairman and a member of the Duplin Development Commission. He and his wife, Theresa Miller Hussey, have one daughter and live in Beulaville. Mareaav is owner ana operaior 01 Beulaville Motor Co., Inc. The Duplin County native is a member of the board of directors of the Duplin County Tuberculosis Association. He and his wife, Peggie Andrews Maready, have two adult daughters and live in Beulaville. Morton is a pharmacist Snd manager of Beulaville Drug Co. The Onslow County native earned a degree in pharmacy from the Uni versity of North Carolina at Chapei Hill. He is a member of the N.C. Pharmaceutical Association and the Schoo) of Pharmacy Alumni. He and his wife, Elizabeth Thomas Morton, have two children and live in Beulaville. Thomas is a self-employed farmer. The Duplin County native is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He and his wife, Polly Brown Thomas, live in Beulaville. Whaley is president of M.R. Whaley's Super Market, Inc. The Duplin County native has served two terms on the town board. He and his wife, Malima Beatrice Guy Whaley, have three children and live in Beulaville. Crute is a First Citizens Bank assistant vice president and Beula ville city executive. The Wilson native earned a bachelor's degree from East Carolina University. He is a member of the Board of Nfuse River Development Authority and the Tuscarora Council of Boy Scouts. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and received the Purple Heart. He and his wife, Jackie H.
