Cooking With The Graham House Inn Chef ^ l ne uupun ivieaicai Auxiliary nosted a cooking school las) week with Chef John Ramirez of the Graham House Inn in Kenansville. The school was attended by almost 40 women of Duplin County. Funds from the cooking school will be used to support health projects at Duplin uenerai Hospital and in tne community. 1 ne Auxiliary is made up of spouses of Duplin County physicians and surgeons. The cooking school was held at the Duplin Agricultural Extension office in Kenansville. Pictured above, Chef Ramirez discusses co iking techniques. Place Tree ( Orders Now Duplin Community Tree Day volunteers are now taking orders for trees. The deadline for ordering is Feb. 15. No money will be taken until trees are picked up on Tree Day. Tree Day is March 2 at the Agricultural Extension building in Kenansville from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. After 3 p.m. extra trees will be sold on a First-come, first-served basis. Trees available are: white dog Qf wood at $.10; red maple at $.10, crape myrtle at $1, longieaf pine at $.05, and loblolly pine, free with a limit of 25. Trees are one to two-year seed lings, roughly 12-24 inches tall. Nth performances of the 82nd Airborne Army Chorus which were scheduled for James Kenan and Warsaw Jr. high schools will be rescheduled at a later date. The performances were being co ordinated by the Duplin County Arts Council and because of snow were unable to be held that date. "We do not know exactly when they will be rescheduled," stated Merle Creeph, executive director, "because submitting requests and awaiting confirmation of them re quires a turn-around time of 45 days.
