Craig Allen Allen Receives Award The North Carolina Council for tne Social Studies presented a certificate of recognition to Craig Allen, a senior at North Duplin High School, during the Senior Awards Day ceremony on May 31st. The certi ficate honors Craig as the out standing senior history and social science student of the school. Cr-'.g is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Allen and resides in Faison. The council has instituted this award to recognize the outstanding senior social studies students in the schools of North Carolina. AGLOW The Kenasnville chapter of Aglow will meet Saturday, June 8, at Brown.'s Restaurant in Kenansville with fellowship and breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and the program following at 9:30 a.m. Palsy Quinn of Kenansville is the speaker. PRESSURE CANNER TESTING CLINIC There will be a free pressure canner testing clinic at the Agri cultural Extension office in Kenans ville on Friday, June 7 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. If you have a pressure canner with the dial gauge, bring the lid and get it checked.
