NDES Plans Fall Fastlval I North Duplin Elementary School la gearing up for its third annual fall * festival The festival is Sept. 18 but begins Sept. 26th with a talent show. According to Fall Festival Co ordinator Mary Lou Denning, the 'talent show will feature family and student variety acts. The s|ow begins at 7:30 p.m. in the high school guy. Admission is SI. Proceeds from both the talent show and festival will be used to purchase computer equipment and software. Dennings explained the funds are used to purchase edu cational equipment and supplies, items needed but not budgeted by the school. Funds from the 1984 fall festival were also spent to purchase computer equipment and software. The fall festival begins at 3 p.m. in the elementary school. la the tradition at die past, the festival will feature an auction, country state, concessions and games. And, new this year is a disco and children's movies. Both the movies and disco are scheduled for elementary and teenage entertainment during the time of the auction, Denning ex plained. The auction begins at 6: IS and will feature items donated by local businesses and parents. The auction will also serve as drawing time for a queen-size straw berry design quilt made by Jean Grady, two $100 bills, and a male and female bicycle. Admission to the fell festival is 25 cents.
