KES Thanksgiving Thoughts Continued From Pago 4 _ What Thanksgiving Means to Me 9 On Thanksgiving we have a feast. After the feast 1 like to go hunting, play basketball, and watch movies. At the feast we have turkey, corn, peas, butter beans, fried chicken, bisquits, and other things to eat. The best part is the turkey. My mother and father said that the pilgrims sailed here on the May flower to Plymoth Rock. They met the Indians here. The Indians showed the Pilgrims to grow crops and make a living. They showed the young Indians how to make toys like cornshuck dolls and other toys. That's what Thanksgiving means tome. By Gary Smith What Thanksgiving Means to me Thanksgiving is a time for a feast. Ypu can eat turkey and when you get finished you can play, watch movies, parades, or football on television. Then you can go hunting. You wait for antoher year to celebrate Thanksgiving again. By ? Parish Dean Strand What Thankglving Mean to Me Thanksgiving is to me means getting out of scool and going to see my grandma. I always rember the pigrins. They came on the May flower. When they came some Indidns didnnot like then and some of the Indians were nice. The Pligims were very thankful for the food and other things they gave them- We celebrate Thanksgiving because of this. Lattice Brown What Thanksgiving Means to me On Thanksgiving we like to go hunting. After we get back home, then we have a big dinner. Then we watch football on T.V and give our thanks for all our good fortunes. By. Chris Holme* What Thanksgiving Means to Me 1 really like Thanksgiving. It is a nice holiday. On Thanksgiving 1 like to watch parades. I like to eat the good food. I like to play cards, and watch football games. It is nice to remember and celebrate the Pil grims coming over on the Mayflower in 1620. The Indians helped the Pilgrims. The Indians and the Pil grims had a big feast. They had the big feast to give thanks for being able to survive and have food and friends. We also give thanks for the food, frineds, and family on Thank giving. Genny Alabaster Thanksgiving Long ago when I wasn't born, some pilgrims came on thanksgiving morn When they came ashore on the May flower what did they find, but most of the Indians were very kind. But later on that silent night, they saw some Indians ready to fight. He went outside with his smily-face, and then the Indian challenged him to a race. If he won they could stay, but if he lost they would have to go away. After that challenge he won the race, in fact most of the Indians painted their face. First he showed them how to punt, then he showed them how to hunt. After they worked they had fun, because that's when he taught them how to shoot a aun. By Julius Earl Sander* We Give Thanks I like Thanksgiving. I like to have a feast. 1 also like to play football. I think about the Pilgrims and the Mayflower. I also like for my cousin to come over. 1 like to watch movies, too. When the Pilgrims came, they had a big feast and they invited the Indians to come. On Thanksgiving my faimly relative usually come to eat dinner with us. Thanksgiving is a nice Holiday. 1 like it alot. Some times I go to see my father. I think I like it because we don't have school. I also like it because I might go hunting sometimes. Thanksgiving is a very speicial day to me;. Thanks giving is close to Christmas. On Thanksgiving I always have a good time. I think it is the best day ever. By Dal] Eaaon William Smith What Thankaglvlng Means to Me To me thanksgiving is a time to be thankful.
