Hill, will be exhibiting her oil and watercolor paintings at the Etta Jones Turner Public Library in Pink Hill during the month of December. Mrs. Hill teaches oil and watercolor classes for the Lenoir Communi y College in their continuing education program. She is a graduate of the Washington School of Art and has studied oil, watercolor and acrylic painging with many international teachers. Jeannette has been the recipient of many awards and her paintings are in private and public collections throughout the United States. She held a one-woman show of her work during the month of October at the Kinston Community Council for the Arts. She is a member of the North Carolina Watercolor Society, and the Eastern North Carolina League of Artists. Her paintings are realistic and depict many of the local sfcenes; all the paintings are reasonably priced for sale. Jeannette is pictured above with some of her works. Pink Hill Christmas Parade Saturday The 25th annual Christmas parade is scheduled for this Saturday at 2 p.m. For the first time in history, Pink Hill will have a grand marshal for the parade ? Gary Dean, TV-12 news personality. Bands from North Lenoir, South Lenoir, East Duplin and Kinston will participate. There will be lots of beauty queens, clowns, and of course Santa Claus. At the present time, there are some 75 entries. However, if you are still interested in an entry for the parade, call Carol Sykes or Charles Watson by Friday. YOUNG IN HEARTS The Young in Hearts (senior citizens) Gub met at the Presby terian Qiurch at 2 p.m. Nov. 20. Virginia Singletary installed the 1986 officers as follows: President Estelle Eubanks, Vice-President Elise Jones, Secretary Pauline Heath and Treasurer Essie Edwards.
