Society ~ Dupr??s Calibrate Anniversary On Saturc ty. October 12, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Dupree of Albertson were honored nx a reception in observance of their fiftieth redding anniversary. The even, was held in the cultural hall of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da\ Saints in Albertson, which was decorated with bronze, yellow and white chr> unthemums, ferns, magnolia and pumpkins Hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dupree and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Richard (Ricky) Dupree Jr. Guests were welcomed by Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Whitley and Mr. and Mrs. John David Grady, fclrs. Margaret Polland of Winter Haven, Fla., presided at the register. Mrs'. Irene Anderson, sister of Mrs. Dupree. received the girfts. They wer cisplayed by Mrs. Raven Darden, Mrs. A.C. Hargett, Mrs. Johnny Alphin and Mrs. David Alphin. The anniversary cake was made by the coupl -'s granddaughter, Mrs. Renee Dupree Quinn. Punch and hors d'oeuvre were served by Mrs. Nellie Potter, Mrs. Viney Grace Potter, Mrs. Terry Wilson, Mrs. Elaine Rhue, Mrs. Voncile Moore. Mrs. Addie Ruth Smith, Mrs. Betty Jo Jones, Mrs. Mildred Harper and Mrs. Rachel Thompson. The story of the couple's life together was read by their daughter n-law, Mrs. Charlotte Dupree. "When You and 1 Were Young Lena. Dear" was suns bv Mr. and Mrs. Bob Goodwin. a square dance stoud headed b> Mr. and Mrs. Ray Carter also performed. Goodbyes were said by Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Whitman. Mr. and Mrs. Dupree were married October 4. 1935. They have two sons, Kenneth Royal Dupree and Ernest Richard Dupree Jr., both of Albertson; four grandchildren, Kenneth Royal Dupree II Renee Dupree Quinn, Scott Dupree and Alan Dupree; and two great-gra: dchildren, Richard Dupree and Ashley Dupree. Killettes Celebrate 35 Years Mr. and Mrs. Russell Killette of Warsaw were honored with a 35th wedding anniversary celebration December 7 at Calvary Baptist Church. The celebration was hosted by the couple's children: Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Davis of Wilmingt. n, Mr. and Mrs. Lyndon McCall of Etowah. Emily Killette and Timothy Killette. both of Warsaw. Guests were greeted ai the register by Mr. and Mrs Billy Dail of Warsaw, friends of the couple. Refreshments were served b> Lisa Gore of Warsaw, niece of the couple; and Wanda Carter of Warsaw. Punch was served by sisters of the couple, Loyce Boone of Warsaw and Connie Bland of Rose Hill. The cake was served by Jewel Taylor of Kenansville, sister of the couple; and Telza Quinn of Kenansville, niece of* the couplt The honored couple's grandson, Joseph Davis of Wilmington, presided >ver the gift table. The couple was married December 9, 1950. Out-of-tov r guests included a brother of the couple, Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Johnson and daughter Regina, and the couple's sister, Mr. and Mrs. George Merritt, b<<th families of Newport News. Va. Also attending from out-of-town were nieci s of the honored couple, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Sullivan and Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Barnes, both couples of Wilson. Warsaw United Methodist Church Cantata Is Sunday The Warsaw United Methodist Church chancel choir will present the Christma-. Cantata "Rinp the Bells" by Harry Bollback and Don Wyrtzen on Dec. Chapel Plans Christmas Cantata The Christian Chapel Free Will Baptist Church chancel choir will present their Christmas cantata, "A Song, A Star, A Son," on Sunday night, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. The youth of the church will present their musical, "Hark, The Herald Angel" on December 22 at 7 p.m. The sanctuary is decorated with red poinsettias, brass candelabra holding red candles, and a seven and one-half foot Chrismon tree with handmade Chrismons made by the youth.
