A GREAT SUCCESS. '' ' King's Business College is Going For ward with Rapid Strides. An institution of which the peo ple of Raleigh may well be proud is King's Business College, which has admirably appointed apartments in the Pullen Building on Fayettcville '. street. . The school is indeed a credit to North Carolina and to Raleigh. There is also a branch at Charlotte. Prof. J. IT. King, the president and head of the school, has built up a flourishing college, and is backed and endorsed by all the leading business men of the city, who feel a deep in terest in this institution. The college is thoroughly equipped with all modern improvements, mak ing it in every respect a first-class commercial college. There is a competent corps of instructors, and the instruction i3 thorough. The college has established such a, repu tation that there is constant demand for its graduates. It is a fact especially creditable to Professor King and his associates that before he established his college several parties attempted to run bus iness colleges here, but failed. To be a success in business a tech nical education is now almost essen tial. The old style is no longer pop ular. Competent book keepers and stenographers 1 are always in de mand, and, while experience is valua ble, it should follow the business college training, which has been re duced to a science. Since January first King's Busi ness College has enrolled an unus ually large number of students, which speaks volumes when we con sider the low price of cotton. The best recommendation any institu tion or anything else can have is that it flourishes in dull as well as pros perous seasons. In Surry County recently a young u i a n n a mod 1 )ock S u t phi u was kick ed in the stomach by a horse and in jured so that he died a few days latter. The fourth annual poultry show is being held here in rear of the Agricultural building. It is a greater success than ever before. NOTICE! Superior Court, January Term, 1905.
