BUCKNER-M ORRIS WEDDING In a cermony characterized by beauty and elegance, Miss Kathleen Morris, "daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Morris, and Mr. Ezekiel Hardie Buckner, of Ashe ville,. were married Monday afternoon at five o'clock at the bride's .parents, Mid wood Cot tage, Rev. R. H. Morgan, oi Mars Hill, oincle of the bride, assisted by Rev. Fikes, of Saluda, officiated. The spacious hall and living room were thrown into one for the cere mony. The vows were spoken in front of a mass of ferns and chry santhemums, carrying out the color scheme of yellow, ' green and white. Two chains of yellow and white chrysanthemums mixed with ferns were suspended from the door to the altar. Everywhere flowers were ar tistically arranged. Just in front of the altar, a beautiful white wed ding bell was hung, under which the bride and groom stood. 'The soft rays of the lighted candles on the al tar and piano miiigled with the gold en glow of the sunset was the only light in the room. The setting was one of exquisite beauty. Receiving the guests were Miss Elizabeth O'Brian and Mr. Morgan Morris, brother of the bride. Miss Morris' . little Sunday School class" came in a body and stood together near the altar during the ceremony. Just pior to the ceremony a lovely musical, program was rendered. Mrs. W. Jones, at the piano play ad very effectively, "Venetian Love Song,", by Neven, and Schurbert's Sernade. Miss i Madabelle Jones, of Ashevine, sang- most sweetly, "The Mesage of the Rose' and "At Dawn ing." At the frrst strains of the bsidal -xhorusj from Lohengrln,c the bridal v party - entered the ' parlor. Little Miss .Eveline.. Nash,, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer. She wore a dainty white organdie and carried the ring on a large white chrysanthe mum. .The groom, with his best man, Mr. Thos. Byrd, of Ashevilleu entered from the dining room, and met the bride at. the altar. The bride entered from the hall, with Miss Myrtie Shirley, as maid of hon or. "Melody of Love," was sweetly played while the vows were spoken. Miss Shirley wore . a handsome black jet dress over satin," with large hat to match? She carried a boquet Ox pink Ophelia roses. The bride -was handsomely attired in a wcoat suit of brown duvetine, with beaver trimmings and accessories to match. She carried an exquisite bt quet of brides' roses and lilies-of-the-valley. -Mr. and Mrs. Buckner left imme diately after the ceremony -for Wash ington, Baltimore" and New York. They will be at home to their many friends after November, 20th., at Asheville, N. C, . . The bride is the charming daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. P. G.
