f Be it ordained by the Mayor
and Board of Commissioners of
the town of Saluda in session
duly assembled as follows:
Section 1. There shall be is
sued and sold by the . Town of
Saluda negotiable coupon bonds
in a sum not exceeding $40,
00000. The proceeds from
said bonds so issued and sold
j shall be used for the purpose
of enlarging, repairing and ex
pending the water works sys
tem of the town of Saluda fpr
i the purpose of providing an
adequate and sanitary water
! system, v In the event the auth
orities of- the town so decide , a
portion of the money may be
used for the purpose of increas
! ing, maintaining and extending
sewer lines.
? 1 Sec. II. The maximum ag
gregate principal amount of
said bonds to be issued is $40,
000.00. But the said City shall
be authorized to issue said
bonds in such an amount less
than the sum of $40,000.00, as
they in their discretion see fit,
with the right and privilege to
