This means that all candidates -for the county offices of Polk County mustf be nominated through the Primary Election, which will be held on June 7th, ^and there will be no convention. Every candidate for nomination as the candidate of the Republican party for any county office in Polk County must file with the County Board of Elections at least TWO WEEKS before tlie Primary Election, (viz. Ny later than the 24th day of May) a notice statipg his party affiliation; the of fice for which he is a candidate; and a pledge to abide by ? the result of and to support the party candidate nominated in such primary by the political party with which he affiliates. I ? "Candidates for any county office shall at the time of filing their no tice of candidacy pay to the county board of elections the sum of eX' cept candidates for Surveyor, Coroner and County -Commissioners, who shall pay the sum of $1.00."
