Help a ne’er-do-well and he'll stic kto you for life. To the Tobacco Growers: A BED OF GOOD TOBACCO PLANTS WILL GO A LONG WAY IN HELPING. YOU MAKE A GOODiTOBACCO CROP, ESPECIALLY EARLY PLANTS WHY- BE DELAYED IN TRANSPLANTING? THOUSANDS HA VET USED BLUE DEVIL SPRAY AND HAVE RECEIVED RESULTS, NOT ONLY IN CONTROLLING BLUE MOLD, BUT IN GROWING STRONGER PLANTS WITH BETTER ROOT SYSTEM. WE ESPECIALLY URGE YOU TO START SPRAYING PLANTS WHILE THEY ARE SMALL SO THE LOWER LEAVES WHICH USUALLY ARE AFFECTED FIRST BY THE FUNGUS WILL BE KEPT IN GOOD) CONDITION, AND ALSO TO RID YOUR BED OF FLEE BEETLES THAT DESTROY YOUR SMALL PLANTS. FOR BEST RESULTS SPRAY EVERY 10 DAYS OR TWO WEEKS, KEEPING A CLOSE WATCH ON THE UN DERSIDE OF THE LOWER LEAVES. ABOUT TWO WEEKS BEFORE PLANTS ARE READY FOR FIELD BE SURE TO WATCH WEATHER CONDITIONS, AND THE MORNING FOLLOWING MUGGY OR FOGGY NIGHTS SPRAY PLANT BED THOROUGHLY. IT IS AT SUCH TIMES FUNGUS STARTS ON PLANTS AND SOME FEW DAYS BEFORE IT CAN BE DETECTED BY THE EYE. WE WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO READ A FEW LETTERS OF WHICH WE HAVE JfANY OTHERS: \ F. M. Te Whets It May Concern* This certifies that I hare used Blue Devil Spray en my tebacce plast beds for twe seasoas, heginaiag treatment when the plants first come up sad continuing nstil time to transplant. During these twe seasens I have net been delayed hi transplanting by Blue Mold, have had healthy, strong plants, and have obtained better than a 90% stand at the first setting, des pite the fact one season was very dry. The plants grew off early and fast and I have made two of my best crops since beginning to use it. I am highly pleased with the re sults obtained and shall continue to use Blue Devil Spray. JNO. D. WEAVER. NOW, IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE PLANT BED TRY BLUE DEVIL SPRAY ON ONE AND SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN YOUR PLANTS, NOT ONLY ON PLANT BEDS, BUT ALSO IN GROWING OFF OF PLANTS AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN TRANSPLANTED TO FIELD, AND REMEMBER THE TOBACCO PLANT THAT GETS STARTED IS THE ONE THAT MAKES THE TOBACCO AS IT MAKES IN A LIMITED NUMBER OF DAYS. WE ONLY ASK FOR ONE TRIAL OF BLUE DEVIL SPRAY AND WE KNOW YOU WILL BE ONE THAT WILL CONTINUE TO USE IT. THE AVERAGE COST OF SPRAYING A 100 YARD BED IS 25c, AS ONE PINT IN 8 GALLONS OF WATER WILL SPRAY 800 SQUARE YARDS.
