Mrs. Sam Bloom Honors Bride-Elect One of the prettiest parties of the fall season was given Tues day at 1 o’clock by Mrs. Sam Bloom when she complimented Miss Mildred Hussey, bride-elect. Mrs. Bloom’s house for the oc casion was attractively decorated with arrangements of white dah lias and gladioli and was a pret ty setting for uiree tables of bridge and luncheon. Upon ar rival the guests found their places by attractive and novel hand-decorated bridal tallies. A white shoulder corsage marked the honoree’s place. Bouttonieres which were presented to the guests as favors, made the attrac tive centerpiece for each table. Following luncheon several pro gressions of bridge were played. Mrs. Bloom served iced coca colas. When scores were tallied Mrs. Harry Kramer was winner of high score prize and Mrs. O. C. Blanchard, Sr., was winner of low and bingo. Miss Hussey, the honoree, was remembered with a gift of linen, and Mrs. J. B. Boney, Jr., was also remembered with a gift. Invited guests were: Miss Hus sey, honoree; Mesdames J. B. Circle No. 2—With Mrs. Rob ert Farrior, Sr., at 3:30 o’clock. Circle No. 3—With Mrs. John Stallings at 3:30 o’clock. Circle No. 4—With Mrs. H. E. Miller at 3:30 o’clock. Mrs. Steve Mallard Honors Miss Hussey Mrs. Steve Mallard graciously entertained at her house recent ly honoring Miss Mildred Hus sey, bride-elect, at seven tables of bridge. Mrs. Mallard’s house was attractively decorated throughout with fall flowers. During the progressions of bridge the hostess served coca colas and salted nuts. Mrs. John J. Deifell was winner of high score prize and Mrs. David Hen derson second high. Miss Hussey was presented a corsage of white flowers and silver in her chosen pattern. Mrs. Mallard served a delicious salad course to the 28 guests present. Miss Lucile Jones Bride Of Robert Boyce In a simple but lovely setting of white gladlolis and fern Miss Lucile Jones became the bride of Richard B. Boyce in the Wal lace Baptist church at 12 o’clock, Sunday, September 29. Mrs. W. H. Farrior played the wedding music and Mrs. Robert Sheffield sang, “O Promise Me.” A group of young girls sang, “The Sweet est Story Ever Told.” The cere mony was performed by the Rev. J. N. Evans, Jr. , , The bride was unattended and was attired in a brown suit with accessories to match and she wore an orchid corsage. The oride is the former Lucile Jones, laughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joel lones and before her marriage field a position with Z. J. Car ter and Son.
