BACK TO HOSPITAL Friends of Mr. Willie Blanch ard will be sorry to learn that he had to be rushed back to Watts Hospital in Durham on Sunday afternoon after being at .home for only a few days, fol lowing an operation there. His condition at this time is fairly favorable. JOINT HOSTESSES AT THEATRE PARTY Mrs. Laurie Harrell and Mrs. Ben Harrell were, joint hostesses at a dinner and theatre partv on Friday evening, October 4, at 7 o’clock, honoring Mr. Ben Har rell on his birthday. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Fussell, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Hugh S. Johnson, Jr., and Mrs. P. S. Newton, Jr. CANDLELIGHT COMMUNION The Youth Fellowship of the Methodist Church held a candle light communion service on Sunday evening, October 6, at 5 o’clock' in the church auditori um. Those assisting the pastor, Rev. C. T. Rogers, on the pro gram, were: Julian Marshall, Anne Jerome, Miss Edna Fus sell and Miss Helen Marshall. During the service the following officers were installed: Presi dent, Elizabeth Fussell; vice __> Jer ome; counselor, Mies Edna Fus eell; assistant counselor, Miss Helen Marshall. MRS. JERRY TEACHEY ENTERTAINED SUNDAY Mrs. Jerry Teachey of Rose Hill was delightfully entertained Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock with a birthday party at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. H. Brown, of Goldsboro. The dining table was beautifully decorated with selected flowers and was centered with a lovely birthday cake with candles. Refreshments were served and everyone en joyed the occasion very much. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Vick and Buddy Vick( of Morehead City, visited friends in Rose Hill on Sunday. Miss Annie Catherine Barden who teaches in the Lumberton city schools, was the week-end guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Barden. Mr. and Mrs. Ben G. Fussell went to Wilmington on Monday afternoon to visit Mrs. R. C. Al derman. who has recently under gone an operation at James Wal ker Memorial Hospital. Mrs. E. P.
