Har ris, of Bachelor, were given a sur prise party last Saturday evening by their daughter', Miss Sadie Louise Harris, assisted by Mrs. 0. W. Salter and Mrs. E. L. Becton. The occasion was in honor of their 14th wedding anniversary. Home Economics Teachers Attend District Meeting -r - Mrs. David Beveridge and Mrs. Delfido Cordova attended the Dis trict Vocational Home Economics meeting Saturday at Bath high school. Mrs. Beveridge is home economics instructor at Beaufort school and Mrs. Cordova is instruc tor at Morehead City school. Mrs. Lola Cox conducted the meeting, offering suggestions for a two-week course in Christmas homemade gifts, food, and decora tions. The next district meeting will be Jan. 8 at Beaufort school. Mrs. Beveridge will be in charge of the program which will be on "Land scaping Home Grounds." Counties included in this voca tional home economics district are Carteret, Craven, Beaufort, and Hyde.
