MISS ALIDA P. PALES

died Monday afternoon at her home
at 132 Craven st., Beaufort, after
several years of failing health.
Funeral services were held Wed
nesday afternoon at 3:30 in St.
Paul's Episcopal church with
burial following in the church
cemetery.
Miss Fales, daughter of the late
Capt. Arthur and Frances Robinson
Fales, was a former teacher in St.
Mrs. Mildred D. Lowe ,and son,
Herbert, of Philadelphia, are visit
ing her mother, Mrs. Nina Skarren.
Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Mitchell of
Jacksonville and Mr. and Mrs. P.
R. Mitchell, jr., of Raleigh spent
last weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Will Arrington.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bryant and
daughters, who have been living on
Piver's Island, have moved into
their new home at 1407 Front ?t.

Charles W. Day, 66, died at his
home at Lennoxville Wednesday
morning after a long illness.
Funeral services were held
Thursday morning at 10 o'clock
from the home with the Rev. W. 12.
Anderson. Free Will Baptist min
ister, officiating. Burial was in
Gilgo cemetery at Roe.
Surviving Mr. Day are his wife,
Mrs. Brittle Day. a daughter, Mrs.
James Taylor and two grandchil
dren.

Noe, 84, who died at his home
Thursday morning after a long ill
ness will be held from the home
at 301 Cedar st., Beaufort, this
afternoon.
Mr. Noe, a retired carpenter, is
survived by two daughters, Mrs.
Loft in* L. Garner of Chapel Hill,
Mrs. H. A. Kuhn of Newton, two
sons. Ralph W. of New York City
and Curtis of the home and eight
grandchildren. v
