Sgt. and Mrs. David McGaha and daughter, Gail, have moved from the apartment they had at 209 Front street to an apartment in ihe Owens house on Ann street. Mrs. Richard Chadwick and Iwo sons have moved from Williamston to Jacksonville to join Mr. Chad wick who is stationed with the highway patrol there. Miss Susan Rumley returned Wednesday to her position as teach er of the third grade in the Beau fort school. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Parker spent Monday in Raleigh. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Slater have re turned home after a trip to Cuba. Dr. Earl Hedrick and his son, David, of Raleigh, spent Tuesday here with Mr. and Mrs. George Eastman. Miss Jane Safrit spent Sunday night at Cherry Point as the guest of Mrs. Allan Wonholf. Charles Hamilton left Sunday for his home in Columbia, Ga., after spending the Christmas holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hamilton. Miss Betly Lou Merrill will leave today for Aberdeen, Md., after a week's visit her with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Merrill. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wright, jr., who have been living at Chapel Hill will move this week into a house on route 101. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Fulford and son, Gerry, spent several days last week at Warsaw where they visited Mr. Fulford's brother. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Thomas, jr., have moved from Moore street into an apartment at 917 Front street. Mr. Charles Richardson left for Goldsboro Wednesday after a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Jones. Mr. and Mrs. William Roy Hamil ton returned home Sunday from a short visit in Washington, D. Mrs. Lela Willis has resigned her position as assistant town clerk of Beaufort because of the illness of her mother. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pake were called to Clifton, N. J., Tuesday because of the death of Mrs. Pake's brother, Mr. Joseph Thompson. Mrs. Julia Pake and Mrs. Dallas Willis accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Pake to New Jersey to attend the funeral.
