Negro News The Community Dramatic club of Morehead City held its regular meeting at the home of Mrs. Bessie Mills, Fisher street, Thursday eve ning at 7:30 with Mrs. Christine King assistant hostess. The meeting was opened with de votionals led by Mrs. Pearl Hewett after which an hour of business was conducted, Mrs. Elsie Warnett presiding. Mrs. Mary DuBois gave the club a demonstration on mak ing cartwheel doilies. A poem, written by Mrs. Lula Horton, en titled 'Live Today" was read to the club members. At the close of business a program of entertain ment for 1952 was made up. After the meeting Mrs. Mills served devil's food cake, whipped cream, hot chocolate with marsh mallows and candy. The meeting for this week will be held at the home of Mrs. Mat tie Marbley on Avery street at 7:30. Mrs. Mamie Fuller will be the as sistant hostess and Mrs. Bertha Mae Collins will lead the devo tionals. Morehead City. ? REBECCA MURRELL HAYNE8 Rebecca Murrell Haynes. 52, died Monday morning at her home at 1508 Bay St., Morehead City after a long illness. Surviving are her husband, Hen ry. three sisters. Mrs. Rachel Bell of Morehead City, Mrs. Laura No Ian of Beaufort. Mrs. Cora Jean Murray of North River, four brothers, Malachai. Abe, Colum bus, all of North River, Johnnie of Clinton; Allen Murray, jr., and | Hermania Murray, a niece and nephew with whom she lived, and several other nieces and nephews.
