Miss Mollie Barker Returns From Trip to Oklahoma Mias Mollie Barker of Morehead City has returned from a two-week trip to Sh&wnee. Okla., where ;ihe attended the National Freewill Baptist League and Sunday school convention. Miss Barker was chosen to repre sent North Carolina in the National League Sword Drill contest and was a second place winner. She received a Bible as a prize. Hostesses Entertain Friendship Club Tuesday Mrs. Edith Schrader and Mrs. M. C. Mizelle entertained the 1 Friendship club of Beaufort Tues day night at the home of Mrs. Schrader, 412 Fisher street. The hostesses arc contemplating the forming of such a club in More head City and will meet with the club at their regular meeting next month at Beaufort. The 13 guests were served cake and iced drinks. Iverson - Hall Mr. Ted R. Hall of Morehead City announces the marriage of his daughter, Anna Belle, to Mr. Ervin J. Iverson, USN, son of Mrs. Blanche Iverson of Cedar Rapids. Iowa. The couple were married in Charleston, S. C? May 21, by the Rev. James H. Harvey, at his home. Price and the late Mr. Hubert Libby of Springvate, Maine, were uptted in marriage Sunday evening at 8 o'clock in the Franklin Me mertal Methodist church. The Rev. A. L. Reynold! offi ciated at the double ring cere mony, performed before an altar covered with ivy and flanked with two baskets of white gladioli. Tall candelabra were on either side of the altar. Miss Enid Rose, organist, pre sented a program of nuptial music and Miss Mary Laura Guthrie, jo loist, sang Because and The Lord's Prayer. The bride, who was given in mar riage by her uncle. Walter Smith, wore a white embroidered ballerina Miss Barbara Ann Guthrie Honored at Bridal Shower Miss Barbara Ann Guthrie, who was married Sunday night to Al bert Libby, was honored at a shower Thursday night at the rec reation center. King, New Bern, dis trict supervisor, will conduct quar terly conference in the First Meth odist church at 8 o'clock Monday night. At that time church offi cers for the coming year will be elected. Mr. number, son of the late Oliver Perry and Julia Easterland : Humber, wai the oldest male na tive-born Greenville cititen at the time of his death. He spent nearly all his life there and was engaged as a young man in the buggy manufacturing busi ness with his father. In 1880 he established the R. L. Humber Ma chine Works which he has op erated continuously since that time. He introduced baseball ill Green ville and organized the first base ball team there in 1880. The circus, to play here Aug. 2, is being spon sored by the Lions.
