Paul have been invited to attend the Debutante's ball which will be held in ftaleigh September 12 and 13. Miss House is a graduate of Beaufort high school and was grad uated from St. Mary's Junior col lege in Raleigh this past spring. She will enter the junior class it the University of North Carolina in September. At present she is a member of the chorus of Horn in the West, outdoor drama it Boone. Miss Paul is a graduate of Beau fort high school and will be 9 mem ber of the junior class it Woman's college in Greensboro, where she is majoring in Spanish and journal ism. She is a member of the col lege choir, of the Playlikers, the dramatic group at the college, a member of the Modern Dance group, and a member of the Cos mopolitan club. Mrs. Jones Entertains To Honor Miss Thomas Mrs. Ben Jones entertained at a shower last Tuesday evening io honor Miss Sally Poole Thomas, who will be married next Tuesday to Mr. Troy Moore. Bridge-bingo was played during the evening, and contests were con ducted with prizes being awarded the winners. Mrs. Jones presented the guest of honor with a corsage of rose colored asters, and as special gift, a spoon in her silver pattern. Punch, nuts and cookies were served at the end of the evening. OBITUARY MRS. LUI.A LEWIS Mrs. Lula Lewis, 75, died Friday morning in Morehead City hospital after a short illness. Funeral services were held at 1 :30 Saturday afternoon in the Methodist church at Salter Path with the Rev. Louie Lewis officiat ing. Burial was in Gales Creek cemetery. Mrs. Lewis is survived by one son, Moody Lewis, a brother, Ed win Willis, five sisters, Mrs. Lovie Willis, Mrs. Charity Smith, Mrs. Hannah Moore, Mrs. Jenora Willis and Mrs. Laura Smith, all of Salter Path, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A tiara of chantilly lace accented with seed pearls secured her fingertip length nylon net veil. She carried a bridal bouquet of white gladiolas, Miss Marylin Porter, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. She wore a floor-length gown fashioned with blue brocaded taffeta bodice with white net over shell pink ny lon skirt. She wore a corsage of white carnations. Charles Davis, brother of ihe bride, attended the groom as best man. Mrs. Davis wore a gown of orchid silk crepe and Mrs. Porter wore a gown of Alice blue silk jersey. Both wore white carnation corsages. Following the wedding ceremony a reception was held at the Mesa Tenth Ward Latter Day Saints church. The bride was graduated in May from Beaufort high school. I'he groom is a graduate of Mesa high school. He completed a mis sion in the Central Atlantic Mis sion for the LDS church. He is a student at Arizbna State college in Temple, Ariz., and expects to grad uate in Jannary. He is majoring in music.
