HAEDESTY Robert Edward Lee Hardesty, 87. of Newport, RFD, died Friday in Morehead City hocpitai. Funeral services' were held Sun day afternoon at 3 o'clock at Core Creek Methodist church with the Rev. Louie Lewis officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Idora Jane Hardesty, three tons, Benny of Elizabeth City, Dewey of Beau fort and Archie of Newport; five daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Graham, Mrs. Effie Gillikin, both of Beau fort, Mrs. Lossie Gaskins, Mrs. Mary Etta Ricks both, of New Bern, and Mrs. Leona Gupton of Jack sonville; ,17 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren and two treat great grandchildren.
